Later that night, I decided that Lauren and I should go out to eat, but Laurence wanted us to meet the rest of the guys first. As we sat in the living room waiting for them to show up, Lauren gets a phone call. She leaves the room, leaving us sitting in awkward silence. As I start to put my earbuds in, Laurence decided to start a conversation.
"How old is your son?" He asks.
"He's four. Do you have any kids?"
"Nah, not that I know of " He smirked.
"You're joking, right?" I chuckled lightly.
"I'm just messing with you!" He laughs, "I'm team no kids for a few more years unless I meet the right one - and I'm in no rush."
"How old are you?"
"I'm 24. What about you?"
"Cool, I'm 23 and Lauren is 24"
"Can I ask you something?" He said, scooting closer toward me on the sofa.
"What's up?"
"Is your sister single?" He smirked.
"Yeah, from what I know," I said, shrugging.
"Bet." He nodded, rubbing his hands together.
"What are you guys talking about?" Lauren interrupted.
"Just getting to know each other better, what's up with me and you tho?" He asked, licking his lips while he stared deep into her eyes.
"Ewwww! I just met you, and for all I know, you could be crazy!" said Lauren, laughing.
"Nah, never that," he laughed in response.
A few minutes later, there was a loud knock at the door.
"Aye nigga, let us in." We heard someone yell from the other side of the door.
Laughing to himself, "This nigga!" Laurence sighed as he got up to answer the door.
"Damn, nigga, you got us standing out..." His friend quickly stopped talking once he noticed me and Lauren in the living room.
"What took you so long to open the door, man?" His other friend said before coming into the living room.
"Dick heads," Laurence scoffed. "This is Lauren and her sister, Kassie. They will be staying here for a few days. Yo dumb ass uncle didn't tell them we were going to be here for the weekend."
"His old ass, he doesn't listen for shit! I'm sorry, my name is Brian by the way." He extended his hand out for me to shake it.
"What's up, I'm Kassie" I greeted, shaking his hand.
"And of course, my name is Lauren," she said as she shook his hand.
I couldn't quite tell what Brian's ethnicity was, but he looked Puerto Rican to me. Although I could be wrong. He had beautiful skin, and long black curly hair that went down past his shoulders. He was muscular, but not too big. He had pretty teeth and a gorgeous smile.
"And you are?" I asked, pointing to the other friend.
"Oh, I'm chance," He said with a smile, showing his pearly whites
"You look toxic as fuck!" Lauren blurted, causing everyone in the room to laugh.
"Really bitch?" I said, nudging her. Why does this child always have to say the first thing that comes to mind?
