As the morning sun rose and shone it's orange light above the town of Borough, all the animals woke up, the birds chirping, the house pets stretching and making their way down for breakfast. It was 6:30 in the morning, which was the time the loud and quite annoying alarm clock had rung on the plugged in phone on the nightstand. It went on for a minute or so before a dark-toned hand came up from the covers and turned the alarm off, rising up from the mess of covers with messy curled hair on top and shaved sides... their sparkling dark blue eyes opened with a yawn, making their way out of bed and straight to the bathroom. The mirror above the sink had been removed for an odd reason as their morning routine began. They brushed their teeth, barely putting an effort to a few brushed to their curly and already messed up hair, letting it fall over their eyes. They quickly got dressed before hearing their mother call them as they finished putting their bracelets on.
"Ethan, dear! Come down and quickly grab breakfast!" Hearing his mothers voice made him smile happily, putting his white and lavender toned sneakers on before heading out of his room and down the winding stairs to the open Living room, Dining area. Those sneakers were the odd one out compared to his dark red, purple and black clothing even though he smiled so carefree. He walked into the white and Gray marble kitchen where his lovely mothers were, one setting a plate of Buttered toast on the kitchen island and the other cleaning up the counter. "Good morning dear, i'm hoping you slept well?" The dark brunette said with a happy smile and moving to give him a kiss on the cheek before getting ready to leave for another day as a teacher. He nodded at that, not able to sit down so he just took the piece of toast before setting the plate in the sink. "Mhm, i did. I guess, not really sure- once I fall asleep i'm out."
It wasn't long before his cropped haired blonde mom started rushing him out the door. "Hurry baby, you're going to get there late if you're planning to walk the block over." He laughed and gave her a kiss before rushing out the door, grabbing his bag on the way out into the warm morning air. The walk down the block was a normal one, stopping once or twice to shift for someone... there was a specific one that got to him though. There was this kid that was crying because he was cranky from not enough sleep, so he stopped and shapeshifted into his mother, who was on the phone and managed to cheer the kid up, once the two walked off he shifted back and passed by a shop, stopping to look in the reflection... He touched his right jaw for a moment, did it look a bit, slimmer than the left this time? He shook his head before speed walked the rest of the way to the dark maroon brick building of the high school, letting out a breath before he went into the front courtyard.
Not far into the courtyard, he saw the person he loved seeing all the time and ran right into his arms. "Hi honey!" He said happily, hugging onto his lovely boyfriend. He dressed averagely but he was one of the most caring and protective people you could know, Jason wasn't that popular but he was fine with that. He was happy with the small circle he had, and it showed by how happily he held his loving partner to him. "Well hello there my Bunny boy, how are you this lovely morning?" Jason tended to over-romantacize every now and then but Ethan loved it. He laughed and leaned his head on his 6'1 boyfriends chest since he was a good 8 inches shorter. "My morning has been good, how's yours been?" That walk didn't need to be mentioned because really, Ethan pushed it off like he has every time it's been happening for the past 6 years. Jason answered and the two had talked for about 10 minutes before Ethan decided to mention it in the slightest way.
"Hey uh, babe?" He said softly, looking up at him, the slightest bit of question in his eyes as he thought of how to keep it hidden but get a straight answer. "hm? What is it?" He looked down to meet his eyes, the milky brown waves in his eyes and the sparkles in Ethan's caught each other. "Do I look okay to you? Like uhm... there's not anything different, right?" Jason raised a brow at this question because of course there wasn't anything, so Ethan, the so confident and happy one all of the time surrounding them was questioning his looks? That alone raised a large red flag in his mind. "Of course not bunny, why do you think so?" Ethan shrugged and smiled. "Just wondering, y'know?" Before any more questions could be asked the bell for first class rang. Of course the two didn't have the same class, Ethan had Chemistry and Jason had Personal Finance. The two gave a quick kiss to each other and went inside the already crowded building, going their separate ways. They wouldn't talk again until Art came along.
