First class of the day, Chemistry hadn't really given any trouble. They mainly wrote notes... so until their third class of the day, which has been Hispanic literature... things went well. Up until then it had at least. Ethan stopped outside of class and shapeshifted into the teacher, and walked in, messing up his hair with a laugh as he walked by, shifting back to 'normal' as they sat down at their desk, leaning back in it. They weren't one to get int rouble often which is why the teacher hadn't yelled at him for it. He had no idea Ethan was feeling Mischevious today, otherwise he would've prevented it whenever he could. Ethan let the class go on for 10 minutes at most before he began his shenanigans. It started with the paper airplanes, but after a while there ended up being two of the teacher in the room. The original facing the board writing and speaking, and the second in the middle of the class, standing on the desk mocking every word that was said. It wouldn't have been found out if the class hadn't burst into laughter. The teacher huffed out in frustration as he turned around to face him, now shifting back with a lot of laughter. "That's it Mr.Mariano. To the office with those little tricks of yours, I will not tolerate them in my classroom. I expected more."
That last part hit him, he rolled his eyes, grabbed his bag and left the classroom... Letting the door slam behind him as he went into the empty and quiet halls. He let out a frustrated sigh as he leaned against the locker-filled wall. Ethan never meant to make that much trouble... it wasn't that bad was it? They shook their head and ran their fingers through his hair, letting it fall again before pulling out their phone. Which is what they did until the next bell rang to head toward the art class, the one class they had an A+ in since the beginning of the class, and it was the class they always looked forward to since their tablemate was the one and only Jason who he loved oh so much. He walked through the halls and was one of the only people there, he sat down and brought out his sketchbook since today was probably going to be one of their free drawing days since the teacher believed that 'Art is the creativity of one's own mind, I cannot teach you, I can only see how you grow.'.
Jason got their not long before the late bell rang, out of breath as always as he sat down next to Ethan, giving him a kiss on the top of the head since he was in his own world drawing a scenic picture of the woods, focused on the tiny details of a bird. It took a moment before they looked over at Jason with a smile, slightly leaning against his shoulder. "I missed you." He said, slightly dragging out the end of 'you' to emphasize on how much, but he not long before he began drawing again. Jason adored his lovers passion for art that he expressed so much. Halfway into the class after conversations being said in the class, the outlines being done to the work, Jason working on his own piece of abstract artwork. He glanced over simply for the fact that he wanted to see his face; however noticed something that never ever happened to him. He was frozen somewhat... Just staring at the table, the only movement coming from his chest rising and falling with every shallow breath. Did he...Space out? That wasn't like Ethan at all.
"Babe, are you okay?" He said softly, giving him a tiny shake. With no response he did it just slightly more obvious. "Baby." With that they snapped out of it, looking over at him with a small smile. "Yes honey?" As if nothing happened. They didn't look tired, no dark circles, no draggy or sleepy voice- so what? He shook his head, pushing it back. "Oh, uhm nothing. I just noticed you were quieter than usual." That wasn't true, Ethan was quiet often. Ethan nodded and went back to drawing, not noticing Jason's worried look. Was that really just nothing? Could he be just overthinking it? No, that couldn't be. At least he hoped not.
After this class was over, Ethan seemed to be perfectly fine. He took a moment to pack up before he walked with Jason down the stairs and around the groups to the cafeteria. They were stopped mid-walk to do an impression of someone, and they of course saw how excited this teenager was so they nodded and shifted, doing a not at all serious impression to make them laugh before shifting back. Jason noticed how often he would stop whatever it was just to see someone else laugh or smile... despite if it meant he had to give up what he had. That's one of the things Jason loved about him, his altogether selflessness. Jason only wished they would think of themselves for once...
