After school that day, Jason waits half an hour but didn't see Ethan anywhere... He felt so bad and they weren't responding to any of his texts.. he read them all though. This only worried him more though, especially with not seeing Ethan anywhere. At around 4:30 Jason gave up and left home, he would check Ethan's house tomorrow after school and see if their moms knew anything. Though the drive back to his place, there were a few tears falling down because he felt bad. He yelled at them, even worse; they hurt them and didn't even realize it until it was too late.
Back at Ethan's house... They left school at around 1:38 that afternoon and went home, their mother didn't ask because if Ethan left school then it had to have been bad. Since then, Ethan's been up in their room. His mother (Inara) had tried to get him to come out but it was no use, he told her that they didn't want to.. she heard the pain in his voice. He hadn't come out all night, and when his mom (Gabriella) got home from work that night, she tried.
"Ethan... Sweetie can I come in?" She said softly, waiting for a response. She however didn't get one. "Baby, please answer me." It took a moment before his tear-soaked voice could be heard, muffled by the door. "Go away mama... Please." She nodded and walked away, worried sick of her child.. cried a bit out of worry to Inara. Ethan however, he surely was crying. Tears stained their cheeks and their eyes puffy.. their hair was a mess and they were only wearing a pair of black shorts and one of Jason's old sports hoodies. His room was dark, lit up only by the white light of the moon shining through the light purple curtains that shielded himself out of the world.
Their stomach grumbled hungrily, begging for something- he hadn't eaten anything this morning, but they refused. They weren't ready to talk about it, they weren't ready to think about it... They wanted to just sit in silence forever and wonder what they did wrong.
At around Midnight, Inara went to bed however Gabriella stayed awake, drinking a cup of green tea before bringing a small plate of spaghetti up to him and knocked. "Ethan? Dear can I open the door?" Grumbling was heard, but all she made out was a 'Not right now.'. She sighed then, "alright, there's food outside your door. Make sure the cat doesn't get it." She set the plate down then left, going to bed not long after.
They were up all night, at 2:30 that morning they threw the food away and washed the dish, takin a shower while they were out and went back to their room, scrolling through social media to pass the time. It was a long and dragged out night.. Ethan soon got up to go stand by the window... Despite their shaky knees and watched the sun rise... A few more years fell during this moment, remembering when they both left so early to see the sun rise from a pretty high mountain. He started crying all out again, closing the curtain before falling down on the bed on their back, before curling up in a ball and crying the morning away.. He wouldn't go to school, he wouldn't even leave his room today unless he was sure one of his mother's wasn't around... they shouldnt see him like this.
That morning, Gabriella left, still worried about her child. He told them everything, no matter what. So this had to be horrible. Inara woke up soon after, going to eat before trying once more and knocking on his door, but after hearing him crying, she shook her head and sat down, leaning against the door. "Ethan sweetie... I know what's happening hurts right now.. But please. I'm begging you, let me help you. I want to be there for you my sweet boy.." There was silence, before she heard shuffling and an unlocking of the door, and she immediately stood up and opened the door, and the first thing she was met with was her child squeezing her tightly, his tears already soaking her shirt. "Sh sh sh... it's okay baby.. Mother's here don't you worry. It's all going to be okay.." She said in a comforting voice as she rubbed his back gently, holding him close to her. She had no intention of letting him go until he wanted her to.. and right now that isnt happening.
