Messiah leaned against the brick wall outside her school, watching the boys by the lunch table.

"Man, I wish I could be like him." She thought to herself. She glanced over to a particular boy, his short, wavy blond hair just covering his blue eyes.

"Or at least date him."

Ross. The guy of her dreams. In her dreams. The guys were over by the outdoor lunch tables, joking around. Ross was standing on one of the tables, jokingly singing. In front of all of his friends. And anyone who happened to be watching. Everyone knew that Ross wanted to be a rock star. He probably would be too. He could sing, dance, play guitar, and had no stage fright whatsoever. He had the looks to make any teenage girl drop dead, starstruck.

Messiah, on the other hand, was too shy. She had no dreams, no ambitions, and no friends. She couldn't sing, couldn't dance, and can't preform. She had no boyfriend either. Never had, actually.

For just a brief moment, Ross looked at Messiah, and smiled. She blushed, and turned away.

"That didn't just happen. Oh my gosh! I probably looked like such an idiot just staring like that! I am so stupid!" She thought to herself

She looked back to see Ross getting down off the table, talking in a hushed whisper to one of his friends. She wondered what he was talking about.

"Probably about how stupid I am." Her mind spoke freely.

His friend - Jeremy was his name - grinned widley and pointed at Messiah, and said, "Her?"

Ross nodded, and blushed, seeing that she had noticed their conversation. Messiah turned away from them, and walked quickly out of sight from Ross, blushing furiously.

She glanced back momentarily, and saw that all of his friends were staring at her. Tears came to her eyes, and she tried to blink them away quickly. She then noticed that Ross was looking at her too. She was about to let the tears fall, when the bell rang.

"Saved by the bell. That was too close." She sighed internally.

She walked briskly to the door, and slipped inside. She headed quickly for her locker, trying to avoid social contact with anyone.

Ah, crap! I have drama next. Pray that I don't have to do anything on stage.

She grabbed her binder and headed toward the drama room.

As she walked through the door, she ran straight into someone.

"Oh, I'm so so-" she saw who she had ran into. "Uh, Ross, I'm sorry..I.." She blushed and walked away, toward a chair, and sat down. Ross looked at her, worriedely.

"Are you okay?" he asked her.

"Uh, yeah. I...I'm fine" she responded. Ross smiled at her, then walked away.

"Okay guys, today we will be begin writing a script, that will be preformed in a couple weeks. They will need to be about ten minutes long. You will be working with a partner to write them, then multiple groups will come together and preform all of the scripts from that group. Understand? Okay, go."

"Ugh, partners. "

She knew that she wasn't going to get chosen, so she just sat down. She was waiting for Ms. Hosier to ask for who didn't have a partner.

"Hey, Messiah, do you have a partner?"

She looked up. "Ross?"

"Yeah, do you have a partner?"

"Uh, n-no." She said.

"Will you be my partner?" He asked.

"Um s-sure. I guess." She responded.

"Great. Let's get started!" He grabbed his paper, and walked towards a table. Messiah stood to follow.

"So, what do you want to write about?" He asked her.

"I don't know, what do you want to write about?" she asked.

He laughed. "We could go in circles all day, if you want. Got any ideas, feel free to share."

"His laugh, his smile. So beautiful."

"Are you alright?" Ross asked. He had noticed her blushing.

"Uh, yeah, I'm fine," Messiah responded.

"I think, we should write a success story," He said, eyes locking with hers.

"W-what do you mean?" She asked.

"Like a story of, um, an unlikely hero, or something like that." He giggled even as he said the words.

"Uh, I dunno, you do realize that we actually have to be in this play, too, right?" Messiah stuttered.

"Yeah, I know, It'll be fun, trust me." He said happily.

"Oh all right then. We can write your success story play." She rolled her eyes at his childishness.

"His sweet voice, his smile, his laugh, so perfect"

"Good, then. Lets get started,"

"so perfect"
