((Sorry these take so long! I am currently very busy and I like to hand draw covers for some of these chapters, I hope people enjoy everything no matter what though))

Silver woke up in the same nest that Marie had put her in the previous day, she had gotten so tired after playing with Coral that she fell asleep outside with a mouse toy stuck between her paws, Coral had to carry her back indoors by her scruff.

Silver stood up and stretched, looking around. The bed was still warm from some cat sleeping next to her before, she bent down and took in the scent of the cat that left.

Coral?

Why had Coral been here? Shouldn't Marie be sleeping in this nest? Silver got out of the nest and looked around, Coral hadn't left long ago and Silver could smell the faint scent of her mother.

They must be talking somewhere around here.

Silver went over to the cat door that had been shown to her yesterday, and went though the flap. "Marie did say I should start working on hunting... " Silver stated, talking to herself.

As she got down into what she thought to be a crouch, a voice called out from behind one of the bushes.

"You'll never catch a pinecone let alone a mouse if you keep practicing like that."

Silver perked up and looked around, seeing Marie walk towards her with a disappointed look.

"Then can you teach me? I wanna learn it the right way!" Silver looked at her mother hopefully, wanting to spend time with her cold-hearted mother.

"I'll ask Coral to teach you later, I've got things to do right now. There's food inside if you get hungry." Marie stated as she jumped the fence and dropped into the next garden over.

Silver huffed and walked back through the door flap, no longer wanting to be outside.

Wait, why did she tell me about the food when Im still drinking milk?

"Might as well try it, Marie left and I'm starving..." Silver went over to where the floor was made of wood and found the 2 small metal bowls that her mother told her about.

One of the bowls had water in it, the other had small pellets that Silver assumed, was food.
Silver bent down, grabbed a few of the pellets in her mouth and chewed them up.

They were dry and the flavor was odd, Silver thought that they would be better with the water, so she took a few laps of water and continued chewing and swallowing the food in her mouth.

It's alright... I prefer milk still.

She ate about half the bowl of food before she felt full and started to wonder where Coral was.

"Helllloooo?"  Silver called out as she wandered around the house, she was about to walk up a stairway when she heard the door flap open and shut.

Silver ran over to the door and saw Coral, he had a few fresh scratches and a nick on his ear that were all bleeding a good bit.

"Coral! What happened!?" Silver ran over to Coral, her fur spiked up in alarm at the stench of blood in the air.

"Oh, I just got into a little haggle with.... Someone-" Coral stated as he licked blood from his paw.
