So it's another typical boring night, and I decide to hop onto Wattpad because why not? I browse through the site, and find some promising books, add them to my library, and start. I have barely gotten through the first chapter, and my frustration is already crazy. WHY DO YOU PUBLISH BOOKS IF YOU DON'T KNOW THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN YOUR AND YOU'RE?
So then I'm like "I'm gonna help this person out, tell them they have a bit of incorrect grammar." Guess what I get in return? Their petty fangirls and fanboys complaining about how I'm a douche for helping their story to actually make sense. "Oh, everyone makes mistakes." No. Just no.
Like seriously it may not be a really big problem, but it ruins all the feels of your story like.
"I love you," she whispers as she gently caresses my face.
"I love you to," I smile back, staring into her pretty ocean blue eyes.
See?
One minute, you're feeling some sort of emotion while your read about some couple's love for each other, then you realise they have used the wrong word. What does that do? It freaking draws your attention away from this intimate moment, and instead you're banging your head against the wall in frustration.
It takes about ten seconds to google and read the differences between the words. Do it.
Like jfc Wattpad should have some license thing or something to verify that this person can English.
"This author knows their grammar!"
Like seriously. Learn the basics before you decide to publish something.
