Oh, um hello? You're actually interested to hear about this? Wow, people in your town must be different then in that no-name town. I used to live there, you know? I have always heard stories about those kids who made hybrids like me accepted. They were a group of ten kids, who called themselves The Pack. They actually have videos online. Have you ever seen any of them? Probably not, I'm just another stupid nerd. People will always be segregated and judged and discriminated. I'm just a stroke of unluck. Yeah, I know that's not a word. I'm not that dumb, despite what they say. Um, let's talk about the boys again.
The humans went by the names of Mitch, Rob, Lachlan, Vikk, and Kenny. Mitch was a local bad boy, his name made all the adults around here cringe. He always wore his infamous red-and-black-checkered hoodie. He had sloppy brown hair that he always tried to tame but failed. He had a chain that held his wallet and keys hanging out of his pocket. He always had a pack of cigarettes on him and a loaded gun in his locker. They stopped trying to take it from him a while before the trials began.
Next up would be Rob, he was strange. He was often picked on at school, rumor had it his parents abused him. The poor kid went through a ton as it was though. He was the smart nerd, and it was either do everyone's homework or end up in a puddle of blood. Often he chose the second. He hid in video games like Minecraft, which dug his grave deeper. His hair was covered by a hood from his abundance of sweatshirts. His eyes showed pain constantly as he grudged along, trying to avoid his bullies. They were everywhere though. People will often tell you about a necklace that Rob supposedly would protect with every ounce of strength he had.
Then we have Lachlan, or Little Lachy. He was a freshman, but a star athlete nonetheless. He was a jock, and made every girl in a very large radius swoon. He was tall with his blond hair and blue eyes, he stuck out like hay in a needle stack (Please tell me someone recognized that SpongeBob reference. Please). His Australian accent only made his situation worse. Lachlan was loved by every girl and every guy wanted to be him. He just sat back and smirked as everyone bowed down at his knees. The only thing they found weird about him was his obsession with the ring he wore on his right-ring finger.
Now, we go on to Vikk, or Icky Sticky Vikky. Don't get me wrong, Vikk was perfect, but boy did he have a temper. He was a short little kid who hid in books, but you mess with you were dead. No one in their right mind pissed of the ill-tempered Brit. Did I forget to mention he was British? Oops, but he was British, and a huge supporter of hybrids. He'd read in a book that hybrids would help save the world one day. He didn't believe it, but he hated their current treatment. He was a hot-headed individual with black hair and darker skin. He's part Indian too, from India I mean. Not what your insensible slang has made it. I mean, wouldn't it just make sense to- hold up. I'm starting to sound like him. Dear lord, help me. The only thing Vikk threatened to kill someone over was when they made fun of people who played the piano. In fact, that was Lachlan and he still avoids the Brit.
Now, we reach Kenny. He was a no-name shadow amongst those no-name idiots he called his friends. All of them were pointless friends, but he didn't want to end up like Rob. He always had his blond hair neatly trimmed and was actually quite popular in the video game world. He was known for his nametag TBNRKenworth, and he was popular online. The only thing that ever mattered to Kenny though was a drawing from his little sister of his avatar with his screen name written below it. She was an amazing artist and he kept it close.
Now to give credit to those who took a risk and stepped into their deaths: the hybrids. They were Jerome, Preston, Mat, Pete, and Choco. Jerome was a bacca hybrid, so he wasn't quite as hairy as a bacca could be. He had a decent layer of brown fur covering his body and wore a suit as his clothing. He was probably the most intelligent bacca, that being the main reason he was chosen. He was also chosen because of his knowledge of the human language. He lived alone with his mother, his father being the human in this mix. That left him as the man of the house, and he treasured the beautiful diamond axe he got for doing so. He called her Betty, after a miscarriage that would have been his younger sister. Bacca's weren't meant to switch mates, and so Jerome's mother had to be taken out of the pool.
Then we got to Preston. He was a lava-mob hybrid, a hybrid of a hybrid species. He was genetically created in a test chamber on accident, but he was kept safe by the mines once he escaped. That's when he found Kenny, saving the blond and returning him to the surface. Preston's body was almost all lava, though it was covered by a layer of invisible obsidian skin. It kept him in one piece and it kept him cooler to human touch. His eyes were completely black, causing no emotions to show in them. His mouth had solidified into a permanent frown of floating obsidian. He was very happy when Kenny would come to visit him, telling him great stories of these games he had called "Minecraft" (My t key wouldn't work so that came up as minecraf. Who like mindcrap?). He usually talked about them in general as "video games" and it confused Preston. What were these videos that gave them their name? But, overall, he truly only cared for his cactus named Jones. Cactus Jones was his baby and he did his best to keep him healthy.
Now we have Mat. Mat was a hybrid by choice, unlike the others. He had been in a nearly fatal accident when he was young, leaving him without half his body. He chose to become half robot rather than to die a painful death that was creeping in on him. His hair was beginning to grow back, short stubbly curls of brown extended from his head. He always had difficulties with clothing, respectably, and therefore wore a baggy t-shirt and loose-fitting jeans. He was a slave to his master, he being the only human Mat knew after the accident. No one knows for certain what happened during the accident, but you can imagine it was terrible to scar the remaining skin even to this day. Mat always loved technology and destruction; therefore he was always buried deep in his redstone book during his free time and always had it on him. No one touched his book.
Next we have Pete the slime, or at least that's the name he told everyone. His true name was Brandon, but he hated it and preferred Pete. He was a very joking guy and often lit up the depressing mood that followed his fellow hybrids. He had a black beanie seated atop his slime head as well as a suit covering his body. It was quite the combination, especially with his slimy green skin. His parents were both dead, or so he was told. He expected that he was actually just a failed experiment, but he didn't bring it up. He just kept smiling that dumb grin that no one could read past. He treasured his beanie actually; a spider hybrid that had later gotten killed made it for him. He thought of her like a mother, and it pained him when she died. He didn't show it though; he just kept up his smile.
Last but not least was Choco. No one knows his real name, not even he did. People often scoffed at the name he chose but he thought it was awesome. He was a hybrid between human and bird, and he hated it. He was too human-like to fly, which singled him out among his people. He wore jeans and a solid-colored shirt. His yellow feathers were almost golden in good lighting, a strange and rare occurrence. But he peeped strangely and more often than not would begin to speak human. It was irritating to him when he did it, he'd often jump and try to fly when he did it. It left the poor bird broken physically and mentally. The only thing that kept him sane was his stick. It had saved him from death once, and so he kept it on him so he wouldn't die. He was strong as long as he had his stick.
Now we go on to me. I'm a bat hybrid just doing my homework. Throughout the series of events that I'm going to retell, I'm going to prove that us hybrids owe our lives to the Pack, and that without them a gruesome war would have taken place. I'm also going to prove to you ungrateful sh*ts that they are heroes, not just 10 stupid teenagers.
Hello everyone reading this! I thank you for checking this out. I do ask that if you enjoyed, make sure you vote! I will probably update once a week. Also, this is written from the last paragraph's research. She had an assignment that said Write an essay and tell us the story of a person (or group of people) who should be considered a hero(es). Minimum of 5,000 words. Hope it makes a little more sense now! Peace!
