"For God's sake, this old elevator sucks, I'm getting a new one. Where's the Janitor? Harry!!"

Oh no, not this again.

A middle aged man walks towards her, desperately answering her calling:

"Ma'am, my name is Henry, not Harry."

"Yes, yes, whatever. I want a new elevator Hardin, take care of that immediately."

She stepped inside, standing next to me.

"Ma'am, it's-"

*the door closes*

"Hello Kara!"

*Cat presses  the floor number*

"Hello Miss Grant, how are you doing?" I ask her optimistically.

"For starters, I had to wait  forever in line today for my coffee. Second, I have a bazillion things to do today, plus doing an interview with you. And third, clearly Andrea left one hell of a mess in Catco and what even were that stupid Collected VR Dream lenses in the first place"

"Ma'am. It's Collective-"

"Oh no, no, no. Not you too."

"Sorry."

I reached my hand up to fix up my glasses only to remember I don't have them on. Now I realised that I'm doing this when I'm nervous or embarrassed. Thank Rao there aren't any mirrors in this elevator because I'm sure that my cheeks just got red.

While I was swimming in my own thoughts, the elevator stopped and the door opened. I let her out first, then I went right behind her.

"We have work to do. Come here." She showed me where I was going to sit during the interview.

"Thank you."

"Are you ready Kara, did you prepare for this?"

"I think so, yes."

"Okay, then let's start. Camera!"

"Maybe you noticed I didn't brought you your own coffee."

"Miss Grant, no worries I can get it myself."

"Kara, you have no idea what's going on do you?"

"Well, to be honest, I'm scared, horrified even. The world is going to know who I am."

"I was talking about your position here as editor-in-chief, but since you mentioned, this is a big step in your career. It's the perfect time to put your big-girl pants on."

"Miss Grant?"

"Yes, Camera guy?"

"We are ready."

*Cat sits down in front of me, hands gliding through her dark green dress, pushes her hair on front, making sure she's perfect for the camera.*

"Kara, do I look okay? And be honest, this is a huge moment for me, I have to nail this."

"Yeah ma'am, you look amazing. Love the golden necklace by the way."

Thank you, I can tell, you really dressed up well for this occasion, I'm impressed."

What? Cat was never actually impressed by my style before.

"What is going on? Camera!" She said, sounding a little bit annoyed.

Camera guy – his name is Nathan, apologised and said:

"Yes,... on count to three."

"Nate, I didn't hire you to just stand here and do nothing. I really hope you didn't lie on your resume."

"One..."

"Two..."

"Three! And... action!"

As soon as the clapperboard slapped together, my eyes immediately focused on Cat, as she started speaking.

"Hello National City... You know her as Kara Danvers, Catco ace reporter and new editor-in-chief-"

Oh my goodness, she said editor-in-chief

"-but tonight, it is my great honor to introduce to you-"

Here it goes, I'm going to cry this is so exciting, I'm so happy

"-Supergirl."

I can just feel the camera zooming on me but at this point I really don't mind the attention. I trust Cat with everything I have. This is my moment. And I'm glad Cat Grant is a part of it.
