The next few days pass without any problems. You spend your days off settling into the mansion and spending time with Dominic. His sister still isn't the most pleasant to be around but she seems like she is at least trying. You stay up late Thursday night since you have to sleep during the day Friday to go to work. You are sitting in your room writing in your journal when you hear a knock at the door. You look over at the clock and see that its almost midnight. You crawl off the bed and open the door to see Dominic standing there.

"I'm not disturbing am I?" he asks.

You shake your head no and smile, "did you need something? Normal people are asleep at this time."

He gives a soft smile but you can tell something is on his mind. "Can you come with me to my office real quick? I just wanted to talk to you about something." You nod your head and follow him down the hall into his office.

He softly shuts the door behind you as you sit on the chair in front of his desk.

You try to lighten the mood, "I feel like I'm being called to the principals office."

He sits down at his desk and looks up at you, "I've been racking my brain all week trying to figure out how to go about this Ana. I don't want you to freak out and try to leave the mansion but now that you are living here you should probably know."

You furrow your brow at him and nod to tell him to continue.

"Okay, I'm just gonna come out and say it. I am the head of the Italian Mafia. My family and I run the mafia all over the east coast here in America and back home in Italy. Thats why I have so many guards here."

You think it over for a moment. It doesn't totally take you by surprise. You knew you had heard his last name before and from how everyone acts around him you knew he was important. You take a breath before speaking.

"I mean I'm not totally shocked by that. It will definitely be an adjustment to dating the head of the mafia but you are still you. Your job title doesn't change that for me."

He looks at you with confusion on his face, "wow...okay...I was expecting you to freakout. Well now that that is out in the open we do need to discuss Nathan being released next week."

You gulp at his name and nod your head.

"When was the last time you had any contact with him?"

"Um probably the day before he got arrested I guess."

He nods, "and that was before you had this job and apartment correct?"

You nod.

"Okay that's good. However I have some contacts in the prison and from what they have heard you are still on his mind. He plans on getting out and looking for you."

You can feel your chest tighten with each word and your eyes become hazy with tears.

"Because of that I think it would be best for you to take sometime off of work."

You snap your head up in shock, "excuse me?"

"I think it would be best if you stayed here and not leave for at least a few weeks when he is released. You can still work this weekend but after that..."

You cut him off, "I am not going to stop living my life because of that asshole. I lost years of my life to him. I'm not doing that anymore."

"This won't be permanent Ana. Just until I can ensure he isn't on your trail."

"No! I love my job with every fiber of my being and I have to work to earn a paycheck Dominic. In case you forgot I have some debts to settle still. I'm not putting my life on hold for that son of a bitch."
