One big thing I've learned about Liam is: He likes to feel important.

I don't think that's a bad thing. I think everyone wants to feel important. Well, most people do.

But Liam has taken this a little far.

I've been given orders to follow him around the office. I don't do anything, but I follow him like a lost puppy.

Liam thinks it's funny. I just think my feet really hurt in these heels and if I have to walk any longer, I'm going to die.

"Keep up, Aaliyah." Liam beckons as he walks down the hall. His legs are longer on top of that so I have to do a little speed walk thing just to continue to walk in step with him.

I hurry after him, huffing when he starts to laugh. "This isn't funny." I announce, huffing and puffing as I hurry to keep up.

Liam smiles at me. "It's hilarious." Liam argues, laughing like a freaking crazy person.

"My feet hurt." I complain, groaning when I have to speed walk to continue to walk in step with him.

Liam shrugs. "But I'm the boss. So, you have to do what I say." He reminds me of the worst rules on the planet. "Also, I get the feeling you're burning my coffee on purpose, so this is payback." He taunts.

I sigh. "Trust me. It's not on purpose." I mumble. I'm just really bad at coffee making. It's weird because coffee really isn't even that hard to make.

Liam's eyebrows shoot up. "Goddamn, Aaliyah. There's no way you burned it that bad on accident." He laughs in disbelief which makes me want to launch myself at him and attack.

I glare at him instead of attacking. "At least I don't give up." I grumble.

"Give up."

"Oh—Okay.." My shoulders deflate a little, but I continue to follow Liam through the office until eventually, he gets bored of it. He gets bored quickly and easily, so I've just been waiting for that to happen.

As soon as I close the door into the office—that isn't exactly mine, but is mine—I kick the stupid heels off.

I haven't fully embraced this office as my own. It still feels like Alex's office and I get the feeling it always will. I haven't decorated or put too many of my own things in here though, maybe that'd help.

Speaking of Alex, I've been leaving him on read.

Not because I want to though. I would love to have a conversation with him about what just happened, but I can't.

You see, Alex started a challenge I don't think he wants. He told me I talk too much and that I probably couldn't go a week without blowing his phone up.

So, I'm putting his theory to the test.

Ironically, he's the one blowing my phone up. I don't think I've ever had this many messages in my life.

I smile when my phone buzzes. I haven't even flipped it over to check, that's how well this is going for me. I really should have bet money on this, I could use some extra cash.

I glance at the office phone when it rings. "Hello?" I put on my best 'I'm cheerful literally all the time' voice as I answer it.

"Fuck you." A familiar voice rings through the speakers and it makes me smile. I haven't heard it in a little while. It's a little refreshing.

I frown even though he can't see. "Sorry, sir. I think you have the wrong number." I sadly inform.

"Don't fucking hang up on—"
