I hold my hands out for Alex when he walks into the kitchen. "What?" Alex hums, grabbing a bag of chips.

"Come here." I beckon, still holding my hands out for him.

Alex's nose scrunches, suspicious. "Why?" He slowly asks, taking a small step away from me while he tosses a chip into his mouth.

I roll my eyes at his hesitant attitude. "Just come here." I order, still holding my hands out.

"What're you going to do?"

"Nothing! Just come here!"

"Not until you tell me."

I groan. "Come here so we can co-exist, Alex." I demand, glaring at him now. This was going to be cute but he made it into a chore.

Alex scoffs. "We can't do that from here?" He asks, eating another one of his chips like he isn't ruining my romantic moment.

"No! Just get over here!" I yell at him now, half over it. I saw it online and it looked like a cute thing, but he ruined it.

Rolling his eyes, Alex sets his chip bag down on the counter and walks over to me. I smile and take his face in my hands, pulling him closer. I press his forehead to mine and we stand here, breathing in each other's air.

We're co-existing.

"I can see your little freckles."

I scoff and push Alex away. "Great job, Alex. You ruined our special time together." I grumble as I walk around him to leave the room.

Alex laughs and quickly follows me. "I don't understand what we were just doing, Aaliyah." He admits as he follows me to the living room. Jerry lifts his head when he notices, but ultimately drops it and continues to sleep on the coffee table after I've told him multiple times not to.

I narrow my eyes at Jerry as I drop down on the couch. "It was a couple's exercise, Alex." I grumble, crossing my arms over my chest to pout.

He never does couples exercises correctly with me. If I didn't know any better, I'd say he doesn't even care about them! Which is crazy because couples exercises are extremely important.

Alex sighs. "Sorry, they're just stupid." He sarcastically apologizes as he drops down on the couch next to me.

I gasp, quickly looking at Alex. "How dare you!" I squeal. Alex just gives me a little smile, apparently amused by my reaction to such a terrible admiration. "That's basically saying you don't love me, Alex." I declare, heartbroken. How could he call bonding with me stupid?

Alex rolls his eyes at me, still with that little smile. "I love you, Aaliyah." He tells me. "I'd rather have a different kind of bonding time." Alex smirks, reaching over to grab me and flip me over to straddle his lap.

I frown. "Now and days you're always trying to get in my pants." I dramatically sigh, pretending like I've been hurt.

Alex smiles a little wider. "Is it working then?" He acts all excited which makes me scoff and shove his chest. Alex chuckles and tightens his grip on me so I don't fall off his lap when I shove him. "You wanna know a good bonding exercise?" Alex hums.

I sigh, preparing myself for a sexual joke of some sort given how this conversation has gone. "How?" I reluctantly coax.

"What we used to do." Alex gives a soft smile as he takes my hand. "I'm going to read your palm." He announces, holding my hand gently as he turns it up to the ceiling.
