I'll always be on track (Hyunin)

Confusion

Luckily for Hyunjin, Jisung and Felix didn't ask about what had caused Hyunjin's rage after the first time he refused to talk about it. He was thankful for their lack of questioning, he didn't know how to talk about the emotions that he had experienced. The two had helped bandage Hyunjin's hand and took care of him for the rest of the lunch period.

Hyunjin felt a bit sad when Jeongin hadn't questioned it though. He walked home with the boy that same day, and Jeongin didn't even seem to notice. Weren't the bandages on his hand noticeable? Hyunjin felt sad about that and he didn't understand why.

His mom noticed immediately. Hyunjin embarrassingly told her what happened, she didn't have a negative reaction. She made sure to clean his hand properly before wrapping it with bandages again. Hyunjin hated the stinging that he felt in his hand.

The next day Hyunjin woke up in an okay mood. He woke up a bit late as usual, hurried down stairs and stuffed his face with the breakfast his mom made. After he was done he said his goodbyes and left the house.

Hyunjin hummed as he started walking his usual path to school. All of a sudden he heard yelling. "Hyunjin! Hyunjin! Stop wait for me!" Hyunjin groaned hearing the voice. Minho. What was he doing walking to school so late?

He turned around and saw Minho running towards him. Minho finally caught up to Hyunjin and started panting a bit. Hyunjin laughed. "What the hell man? Where is Doah?"

"She already left for school. Usually we go together but I woke up late today." Minho said after he regulated his breathing. Hyunjin smiled. "Welcome to my world. I wake up late nearly everyday do you know how many late marks I have on my attendance?"

"I know. We literally have the same first period. Looks like our teacher will be yelling at both of us this morning." Hyunjin chuckled and nodded. "She's probably tired of scolding me every morning. I'm surprised she hasn't called my parents yet."

"She likes you. All your teachers do actually. I don't know how you haven't noticed but you're like the favorite student in every class." Minho said, slightly grumpily. Hyunjin stared ahead as he was walking, Minho's words replaying in his head. He had never thought about it much before, but he guesses that Minho is right.

Now that he's pointed it out, it's true. All his teachers seemed to like him a lot, and he always excelled in all his classes. Hyunjin wonders why he's not able to feel that same warmth and comfort around his friends anymore, or at least with Jeongin.

Hyunjin wants to talk to someone about it. He guesses he could talk to Minho. At the same time Hyunjin is too scared to. What if he confuses Minho? What if Minho laughs at him? He doesn't feel like dealing with that.

There was silence as the two continued walking to school. Hyunjin turned his head at Minho. He reached a hand out and fixed Minho's tie for him. "Your uniform is a mess. Just like you."

"Watch it pretty boy." Hyunjin only chuckled and continued to walk with Minho, resting his hand at his side. Minho noticed Hyunjin's hand. He had seen the bandages the day before, during filmography class, but he didn't think anything of it before. Now he was curious.

"Jin. What happened to your hand?"

"Huh?" Hyunjin made eye contact with his friend that looked concerned. Hyunjin started laughing nervously and raised his bandaged hand. "Oh this...I just fell outside and scraped my hand." Minho raised an eyebrow, not believing it one bit.

"Why are you lying? What happened? Did someone hurt you?" Hyunjin sighed at the concerned tone. He didn't know how to explain his feelings to Minho, or really to anyone. When he had explained everything to his mom, his mom told him that he probably had a crush on Jeongin. Hyunjin wanted to laugh until he realized that she wasn't joking.
