First date and chances

Hyunjin was walking to filmography class. It was the first class since they finished the film, and today his classmates would be working on editing the short film for a grade.

Filmography class happened to be his last class of the day, also his favorite besides theater. When he got there all his classmates were already there chatting.

"Hyunjinnie!" Hyunjin turned his head to look at Jisung and Felix. The two looked cheerful as usual. Hyunjin smiled at them. "Hey guys. We're doing editing today right?"

Felix nodded. "Well Chan and Changbin are doing editing. We basically have a free class today. The teacher is not here either." Hyunjin felt excitement start racing in him.

"Hell yeah. You know what that means right? We're going to play some games while they work." Jisung and Felix smiled at him. "We'll be right back Felix and I are going to buy some snacks." Hyunjin nodded and watched as the two left the classroom.

Hyunjin looked around and spotted Minho and Doah. The two were chatting happily, showing each other something on their phones. Hyunjin decided that he wanted to leave them alone for now.

Hyunjin went to find his usual seat next to Jeongin. Jeongin was eating, noticing that Hyunjin was coming towards him. "Innie. Wanna share?" Jeongin looked up at Hyunjin who sat in his seat.

Jeongin swallowed before handing his snack to Hyunjin. "Thank you. Want to play games with Han and Lee? We have a free period and it's been a while since we got to play."

Jeongin nodded, not saying anything. Hyunjin made a confused face. He had noticed that Jeongin had been acting strange since lunch time. "What's wrong Jeongin? You've been acting weird."

Jeongin played nervously with his hands. "Well...I was going to tell you later but-"

"But what? What's wrong?" Jeongin sighed and looked at Hyunjin. "Seungmin asked me out on a date." Hyunjin raised an eyebrow. "Kim?" Jeongin nodded slowly.

Hyunjin turned his head to look for Seungmin in the room. Seungmin was currently joking around with Changbin. Hyunjin made a surprise face before pointing at Seungmin. "Kim? As in Kim Seungmin!? Asked you out on a date?"

Jeongin chuckled at Hyunjin's surprise state. "You actually said his first name this time!" Hyunjin made a face of disgust. "Ew! Sorry I'm just really surprised!" Jeongin laughed.

"It's okay Hyunjin! But that's why I've been acting kind of weird. I've been thinking about it since he asked me." Hyunjin smiled slightly. "Oh well did you say yes?" Jeongin nodded. Hyunjin's smile widened.

"Aw look at Jeonginnie! You're going to get a boyfriend aren't you?" Jeongin blushed. "N-No! I don't like Seungmin like that...I just want to give him a chance." Hyunjin gave a nod of understanding.

"That's really nice of you. To be honest he's annoying as fuck so I would've said no on the spot. But as long as you're comfortable."

"Yeah..." Jeongin sighed and looked at the floor. Hyunjin noticed this. "What's wrong? You don't want to go?" Jeongin frowned. "It's not that..I just wish I was asked out by my crush and not Seungmin..."

Hyunjin frowned. "I'm sorry Innie...I know you don't want to tell me who it is...but you should still go on the date. Maybe it'll help get over your crush. And I guess it wouldn't hurt to give annoying ass Kim a chance."

Jeongin chuckled and nodded. He smiled at Hyunjin but inside he was sad. Hyunjin didn't seem to have any reaction to Seungmin asking him out, which felt like rejection to Jeongin.

"Hyunjin! Come on let's play now!" Jisung and Felix came running towards them with food in their hands. Hyunjin laughed and took his phone out.

Soon the four were playing a mobile game together, everyone loud except for Jeongin. Jeongin couldn't focus on the game that well because all he could think about was his upcoming date with Seungmin.
