Brayden

As I began to put additional paperwork in my briefcase for today's meeting, my mind kept wondering to that unnerving niece of Ramsey.

No one has ever gotten under my skin the way she has, except my shit of a father.

I must say, I do enjoy our bickering.

I tried to shake her from my mind when I came in last night because I have a very important meeting, my first meeting actually with this new company I bought.

But my effort to remove her alluring presence from my mind failed completely, when Ramsey told me she had gotten a package the other day that had her smiling.

So she did like the fact that I bought her that chip.

Then why send it back?

Women.

Back to this accounting company, I'm planning to turn a new bloody leaf with this company starting with their people in power. Because obviously there is no proper leadership within this workplace which is why, I'm guessing their numbers are so poor.

I never got the chance to really dig into their books like I wanted to, several companies to supervise will do that to you. But what I saw was potential and my gut has never failed me thus far.

As I got to the third floor where the meeting would take place, I studied the environment seeing that I got here 2 hours prior.

Everyone seemed so relaxed, lazy and bloody incompetent.

This is where my little sister would tell me not to judge a book by it's cover, however disappointing that cover may be.

Accountants should never be relaxed, the atmosphere should feel somewhat challenging.

I most definitely will be changing things around here.

As I got to the conference room, I began to lay out my strategies.

I have a few brilliant ideas, but I'm deciding to listen to what they have to offer first to see exactly what I'm dealing with in terms of knowledge and being a quick thinker.

About fifteen minutes prior to the meeting the employees began to flood the room, with unnecessary chattering.

"Aheeheem", I cleared my throat.

The room got silent, a swallow caused by intimidation could be heard.

Good.

"Now that's better, I don't believe in wasting time I have been here two hours prior to this meeting. So now that you all have decided to grace me with your presence, merely 15 minutes before an important meeting you'd think it be a more respectful and alert entrance".

"Um, my sincere apologies Mr Williams my employees were simply anxious and excited to meet you, you are in-fact most of our biggest inspiration", their manager spoke up.

A woman, interesting.

"Let's begin shall we".

Wait, I thought their interns would be joining this meeting.

They could learn quite a lot, why would they withhold such a big chance of gaining knowledge to their future staff.

"Miss Phillips, why are your interns not present?", I demanded.

"Oh, I changed my mind last minute I thought it would be an insult to you to have inexperienced minds present in this meeting sir", she babbled.

What a foolish woman, how is she a manager?.
