CADENCE:

I twirl his black card between my fingers as I stare at it. I'm sitting on a stool in the middle of his kitchen, the phone pressed to my ear. Alex has been talking my ear off all for what feels like forever, giving me the rundown of what happened on my day off.. Well the first few hours of my day off.. Because the store has only been open a couple of hours. I think she always gets a bit worked up when I'm not there, and I know she's wondering if I've made up with Harry. She's been waiting for it, even if she was pissed at what he did.. I know she knew deep down I'd give him another chance.. I guess I'm just that kind.

"So besides that everything is going smoothly. Anyway, what are you doing today?" Alex asks, and I smirk, looking at the card with his name etched onto it.

"Some shopping I think.." I tell her.

"You hate shopping." She somewhat questions me and I shrug.

"Yeah I do when I'm spending my own money." I admit.

"So is this you telling me that Harry and you have made up?" She fully questions now.

"He's working on it, but yes. We've somewhat rekindled everything. He wants me to have clothes over here without lacking from my own closet.. He gave me his card while he's tying up some loose ends at work today." I tell her.

"He just gave you his card? Did he tell you how much you could spend?" She asks.

"No actually he said nothing is too much and to have fun. So... I guess I'm going on a shopping spree.. You've got everything squared away at the bookstore for the day right?" I ask.

"I do, but I want to know how everything goes today for you okay?" She asks, and though there's part of me that tells me to keep it to myself I smile.

"Sure Alex." I smile, and nod to myself before I hang up. I guess this really is what it's like having a friend. I put the card in my purse, and I slide on the slip on tennis shoes before heading to the door. I'm wearing one of Harry's tshirts, and a pair of oversized ripped shorts. I have them belted to my waist with a sleek black belt. I topped it all off with an oversized black blazer as well. I have my sunglasses on top of my head, pushing my hair back from my face. I have my.. My boyfriend's card with more money on it than I can fathom because he wanted me to go shopping. He wanted me to take his card... His money, just so he could make sure I had things, nice things at his apartment for me. It doesn't even sound like real life, but I will take it.

*********

I walk back into his apartment, bags upon bags in my hands and I see Harry on the phone walking through his kitchen. His eyes meet mine, and I see a simple smile spread over his lips as he sets his gaze on me.

"Alright I have to go bye." He doesn't wait for a response on the other end. He just clicks the screen and sets his phone down.

"Well that was rude wasn't it?" I ask him as I set down the bags around me.

"Not as rude as me ignoring the beautiful woman who just walked through the door." He steps forward, pulling me to his chest. "How was your day?" He asks me with a smile as he looks down, pushing my hair back from my face.

"I spent it well.. It was fun but I'm glad I have company now." I lean up and wrap my arms around his neck just to be closer to him. He wraps his other arm around the small of my back, and lifts me over the bags of clothes that he had purchased. He brings me closer to the living room before putting me down again, and spinning me around.

"I'm glad you're back as well.. Speaking of company, I set it up with Key.. He's excited that you wanted to meet him, but I... Are you sure about this?" He asks me, and I smirk.
