Dominic
As the limo comes to a stop, I fight back the tears starting to fill my eyes. It's now been over five years since you were taken from me, and the pain still refuses to leave my heart. No matter how much time passes by it will always feel like yesterday to me. People tell me it's time to move on, try and open your heart to someone else, and my response will always be the same.
"Screw them. They have no idea how I truly feel. And if one more person tells me it's time to move on, I swear it will be the last damn time they ever speak another word," I say as I brush the crumbling leaves off their grave and place the dozen red roses and the train set directly on top of their grave.
"Sir, please forgive me, but you told me to come and let you know when it's been ten minutes," Charles my driver alerts me.
"Thank you, Charles. I will be there in a minute. My visits with both of you never seem to last long enough, but next Friday I will be back," I say before going back to the car.
"Sir," Charles says as he opens the car door.
"Charles, will you please stop by Stephano's?"
"Yes, sir," Charles replies.I sit back getting lost in the beautiful countryside scenery. The leaves are now starting to turn into their true beauty, full of breath-taking fall colors. One single orange leaf soon floats down onto the ground followed by more after it. As I look up, I see the beautiful sky is showing its beautiful blueness mixed with the puffy white clouds barely moving nearly touching a few birds flying towards the clouds. A smile soon forms as I remember how much Natalie loved to just take a drive out in the country during fall season.
"Sir, we have arrived at Stephano's place," Charles says snapping me back to reality.
"Wait here, Charles. I won't be long."
Yes, sir. I'll be here waiting for you."
As I make my way around the winding stone walkway, a dreadful feeling comes over me knowing what Stephano is wanting to speak to me about. I know if I want to keep him happy along with some of the other's, I have no choice but to agree to their requests. I have to keep convincing myself it's just business and nothing more.
"Dominic, it's so nice to see you again," he greets me after opening the door.
"Stephano, you're looking good, "I reply after walking in past him.
"Thank you. As you can see, I am finally fully recovered from my open-heart surgery," he softly smiles.
"I'm very happy to see you back on your feet and back to work, Stephano," I reply as we make our way down the long hall towards his office.
"Dominic, what are you in the mood for?" he points towards the small display of bottles on the small golden bar as we make our way into his office.
"Martini, please, thank you."
"I'm guessing you have a good idea why I asked you to come visit me Dom," he says as he hands me my drink.
"Yes, I'm almost certain I know why you asked me to come visit you," I say as I lift the glass to my lips.
"Dom, we all respect the fact your wife and son died in such a horrific way, and we also respect the unbearable and painful loss you're suffering through, but you know how this business works and you also know the expectations that comes with being in this business," he reminds me as I sigh knowing what is expected from me.
"Yes, Stephano, I do know. It still feels like it was just yesterday to me," I sigh.
"I know it does Dom, but you knew the time would eventually come, and the time is now here. There is no more time to mourn," he coldly says.
"I don't even have anyone in mind, Stephano. Anyone outside of our tight nit circle will run in the opposite direction once she learns who I am. And I wouldn't trust any outsider."
"Well, it could be someone who doesn't have a clue who you are. Dom, there is no more time. You're going to have to work fast at finding someone suited to you and to this business," he reminds me.
"Ok, I know. Can you at least give me another week to come up with a plan?" I ask. He stands up extending his hand out.
"You have one more week, Dom. Please remember time is ticking."
"I will. I will come up with a plan within a week," I assured him.
"I hope you do, Dom. I'll walk you out to your car," he says. Once we're outside, he opens the car door.
"I'll call you by next week, Stephano."
"I look forward to your call, Dom. Good luck."
During the drive back home, all I can think about is needing to find someone willing to agree to my terms. Finding someone who doesn't know who I am is going to be nearly impossible for me to find. The search for that someone needs to begin first thing in the morning."Good night, Charles. We are going to have an early morning, so please be ready at seven," I inform him.
"I will be ready for your call, sir," he says as he places the car in park.
"I already know this search for that perfect someone is going to suck," I whisper before entering the house."Good evening, Mr. Bradford. Your night clothes are placed on your bed and there are fresh linens on your bed like you asked," she smiles.
"Thank you, Martha. I do not want to be disturb anymore tonight. If you need something please ask my sister, I'm sure she will be showing up sometime tonight," I say as I climb the marble steps. As I approach the bedroom door, the strong scent of strawberry breeze soon hits me. I sigh knowing who is waiting for me in my bedroom. My hand grips the golden doorknob pushing the door open and my eyes soon fall onto the raven-haired nearly nude woman spread across my king-sized bed.
"What the hell are you doing in my bed, Roxanna?" I scolded her.
"I was hoping to help destress you, Dom. I know today wasn't a pleasant day for you," she says as I sit myself on the foot of the bed.
"Roxie, what are you doing?" She comes up behind me sliding her hands around to the buttons of my shirt and rips the front of it open.
"Come on, let me try and ride the stress out of you, Dom," she whispers next to my ear.
"Damn it, Roxie, I told you never show up at my house unannounced," I scold her once again.
"Dom, just let me make you forget about all of your problems at least for the night," she says while straddling me.
"Damn it, I will worry about everything in the morning, Clothes off now and get on your back." I command her.
"Dom," she moans my name.
"Shut up Roxie and scream my name," I command her as I grab her legs pulling her down to the tip of my member. Her back arches as she grabs the white silk bedsheets between her fingers.
"Dominic," she shouts as I slam myself deeper.
"This was your idea, damn it," I reminded her.
"Dom, slow down," she shouts as I drive myself deeper grunting and hissing with every thrust.
"No complaining, Roxie," I snap.
"Fine, just go slower."
"Shit," I grunt feeling her legs wrapping themselves around me. My thrust become mor violent.
"Oh God, yes," her fingers dig harshly into my back.
"That's it?" she glares up at me.
"You wanted it, I gave it to you, don't start whining how quickly I gave it to you, Roxanna. You can go now. And I'm warning you for the last time, do not show back up here again without my permission," I grab her wrist.
"You can be such an asshole, Dom."
"Are you just now realizing that Roxie? You need to get yourself out of my house."
"Talk about a quicky, Dom."
"Out of my house now, Roxie."
