Book's POV
I watch Needle race ahead. She's faster than anyone else, but Hi-Bounce is gaining up on her.
"Go Hi-Bounce Ball! You got this!" Saw gives me an odd look, but I ignore her, watching as Hi-Bounce passes by Needle, much to her surprise, taking the lead. Leafy isn't too far behind him, and she takes the lead, but Hi-Bounce speeds up, so now the two are neck and neck.
"C'mon Hi-Bounce Ball, c'mon..." I watch the race, holding my breath in anticipation.
Leafy's POV
I glance at the object beside me. It's a high bounce ball, with orange and black stripes. I smile at the object.
"Hey there!" The high bounce ball glances at me, an eyebrow raised. "I'm Leafy! Nice to meet you!" He frowns.
"I'm Hi-Bounce Ball." He replies, and looks ahead, silent. I fall silent as well, trying to think something to talk about.
"I notice you're close to Book..." Hi-Bounce Ball slows to a stop. Needle races past him, but Hi-Bounce Ball doesn't seem to notice. He glances at me, a look of surprise on his face. Thinking quickly, I continue.
"Not that it's a bad thing! I mean, it seems like she likes you!" He nods, looking back at his team, and Book.
