LOCATION: 3428 DOWNTOWN DETROIT, DETROIT 96271

It had been hours since the homicide with the android and Carlos Ortiz. Lieutenant Douglas didn't come for the interrogation from which the android achieved the confession. "Deviant." Detective Reeds said stuffing his face with the food Alicia had prepared for a calming breakfast date at her home.

"Hm?" Alicia said, tuning her brain back to earth. "That 'Connor' guy is deviant." Gavin said mockingly. "And why do you say that?" Alicia said, pouring herself more "oj" - a hidden mimosa. "It all connects to why he even completed his interrogation. He used his l.e.d for some weird...android thing. It makes perfect sense." "Hm...right...OR he is just better at his job than you are." Alicia joked. "Ha. Ha." "So you really think that machine is a deviant?" Alicia asked, pouring the rest of the champagne into her glass. "Because..." Alicia continued, "I am partnered up with him and Anderson for android cases." she finished. "You're kidding me right?" Gavin said looking up from his smart phone. "-In fact we're starting tomorrow." Alicia said, finishing her dinner. "What the [beep]?! FOWLER CAN'T DO T-" "GAVIN! Relax it is not that big of a deal!" Alicia shushed him, putting her finger over his mouth. She was "kind of'' tipsy. "You know how many times I have asked Fowler if I could work with my own girlfriend?" Gavin said. "Oh so now I am some tool you ask Fowler to use?" Alicia said, defending herself. "That is not what I meant!" "Suuure." Alicia said, rolling her eyes. "So you're telling me that in no way that night, when you were at Carlos's house, you had no feelings for that machine?" Gavin asked. "Feelings? Gavin. THAT IS CRAZY." Alicia said, slamming down her wine glass. "I think it is time for you to go." she added. Gavin held his head like he was having a migraine, stood up, and left the apartment. While also pushing a chair down in the process.

That afternoon, Lieutenant Anderson and Alicia were to meet up at the Chicken Feed, but when Alicia arrived, it seemed Hank's new pet had tagged along. "Hank? What is that doing here?" Alicia said, putting herself in line. Lieutenant Anderson shrugged and joked, "You can have it if you're so upset.". Alicia rolled her eyes. "Great joke Hank." she thought to herself sarcastically. "What's up Pedro?" Alicia said doing a small fist bump with the famous con artist. "How much has my dear friend HANK bet on your stupid little games this time?" Alicia said, staring down at Hank. Yes, Alicia was a thriving young alcoholic, but she would never gamble. It was something she promised she would never do to someone who was very special to her. "You know what? Imma go...away now." Pedro winked at Hank.

"Usuals." Alicia orders the tall thin man who was working the car that night. Less than two minutes passed and the two meals and sodas were passed down to the Lieutenants. "Don't leave it here!" The man working the truck said. "Don't worry! It follows me everywhere!" Hank passed back. The machine followed. "See:".

................................................................................................................................

Connor placed himself in front of the Lieutenants, and Hank raised his hand and said, "I'm going to skip the 'talk' and eat in the car. HAVE FUN!" He finished as he walked to the car. Again, Alicia rolled her eyes. The delicate raindrops fell to the holed umbrella that was not keeping Alicia dry. She did a small shiver, pulled her coat hood over her head, and took a large bite of her food. "Lieutenant gambles?" Connor asked. "Hm?" Alicia mumbled as she took a sip of her soda. "You said 'How much has my dear friend HANK bet on yur stupid little games this time?'" "Oh, I guess I did." Alicia said looking at Hank, who was already half way done with his meal. The android quickly dropped the subject.

"Is there anything you would like to know about me?" Connor asked, whipping off a raindrop that fell on his jacket. "Uhhh...Yea." Alicia thought. "Why do you eat blood?" Alicia jokes. "I don't eat it, I use the samples as DNA an-" "I was kidding." Alicia said with a stiff face. "Oh." Connor said, looking very confused. "Ok. Ok. How about...why did they make you look so goofy and give you that weird voice?" Alicia asked, placing both of her arms on the wobbly table. "Cyberlife androids are designed to work harmoniously with humans. Both my voice and my design were specifically designed to facilitate my interrogation." Connor said. "Mmm. Well they [beep] up." Lieutenant Douglas said, pulling out a cigarette from her bag to light. "...I just got a report. We'd better go check it out." Connor said, tilting his head a bit.

................................................................................................................................

"Hank? What is happening?" Alicia asked Hank. She was talking about Connor, and how he was standing in the elevator, eyes closed, l.e.d flashing. "Connor? You coming'?" Lieutenant said, nudging Connor a bit. "Yes. Sorry. I was making a report about cyberlife." Connor said as he opened his eyes. "Y-you can do that?" Lieutenant Douglas said standing by the door to the house the three were sent to investigate. "Yes, it is one of my many capabilities as an android." Connor nodded. Hank rolled his eyes as he acted like he was mimicking Connor. As the two Lieutenant's stood aside for Connor to knock the door, Alicia muttered "Looks like we're next in line to lose our job eh?".

................................................................................................................................

"Hello?" Connor said as he knocked on the door with a gruff voice. "DETROIT POLICE!" He said again, knocking loudly. All of the sudden there was a loud thud inside of the apartment. "Get behind me you two." Lieutenant said, whipping out his gun. "Got it." Connor said with no hesitation. As Alicia stood behind herself she broke every code of conduct of being a girlfriend when she looked at Connor with such a romantic thought. As Alicia meantaly cursed to herself - out of guilt - Lieutenant knocked down the old door. "JESUS! WHAT THE [beep] IS THIS?!" Lieutenant Anderson yelled. The apartment stunk of birds and looked like Alicia's wallet, empty.

................................................................................................................................

As both Lieutenants and the Android stepped into the main room, the grey blobs of bird immersed caused a small whirlpool of bird poo. Alicia laughed as she remembered Lieutenant's self diagnosed phobia of birds, what he calls: "ornithophobia". "Oh frick. Oh frick." Alicia said as she gasped for air, bent over. Still laughing. Wiggling around, kicking off the birds, Hank examined the scene. As did the Android. But Alicia just couldn't shut up. Laughing and laughing. And then there was a laugh. Not from Connor. Not from Hank. Alicia looked at the birds. "Is that-." She said, Then she looked up to see a bright yellow small circle glow up in the ceiling cracks. Then there was a sudden attack.

................................................................................................................................

"WELL? GO GET IT!" Hank yelled at Connor. Then there was a sprint chase. Alicia quickly threw off her jacket and followed behind. Through a plant farm, towards the fruits and vegetable patch. Towards the train route, then to an apple farm. All ending with a solar panel powered roof. When Alicia and Hank made it, the deviant was right there. It pushed Lieutenant and punched Alicia in her arm, causing her distress, dropping her gun. She noticed Connor was there. He was frozen. Destroy or Save? The decision of the day. The choice? ................................................................................................................................

"Save".

................................................................................................................................

Connor first helped Hank over the ledge, then checked to see if Alicia needed to be taken to the hospital. "I will be fine. Just ice it. Have a bit of beer. Perfectly new." She slowly stood up, and took the ammunition out of her weapon. She cursed a bit after seeing the giant bruise on her arm, but she was in lethal condition. By the time the two were checked on, the Android deviant was gone. "You threw your mission away to save me?" Hank asked. "I guess I did..." Connor muttered to himself. "You know Connor?" Hank said. "Never mind." Hank said fleeing the scene. Connor waited there on the roof for a response, but because of his android mindset, he knew nothing of what "nothing" meant from Hank.
