Leah's POV

As soon as Emma and I entered our English class, everyone stared at me, whispering, "Is that Leah Clearwater?" Even Morgan, Jade, and Hunter were staring at me. Our teacher's name was Mr. Phyllis. Mr. Phyllis said, "You must be Leah." Like, of course, he knew my name. I am basically on the front page of the school newspaper! Suddenly, I smelled a weird smell that I had never smelled before. The smell was almost like someone put a lot of perfume on. Ooh, if I could remember what Jacob said this morning. Something about vampires. AHA! He said, "If there is a vampire around, you will know by the smell of a lot of perfume." All of a sudden, I started to hear Jade and Hunter talking in their head? I knew it! They are werewolves! Seth and I aren't the only ones! Yay! Oops. I think they just heard that.

Mental conversation starts:

Hunter "That new girl in our class smells weird, don't you think, Jade?"

Jade "I have to agree with you, Hunter. She does smell weird."

Leah "Um..."

Jade "Leah? Did you hear what we said?"

Leah "Yeah. So I am guessing yall are werewolves?"

Hunter "Yeah. You better not tell anyone."

Leah "I won't tell a soul."

Hunter "So anyways. Nice to meet you, Leah."

Jade "Yeah"

Leah "Nice to meet you too."

Hunter "Ugh, guess who is here."

Leah "Who?"

Hunter "You don't know who?"

Leah "Yeah, I literally just transferred schools today."

Hunter "Oh, from where?

Leah "Alaska"

Jade "Edward Cullen, that's who."

Jade "Do you have anyone to sit with at lunch today, Leah?"

Leah "Not at the moment. Why?"

Jade "Come sit with us, and we will tell you about the Cullens."

Leah "Ok."

Hunter "Stop talking, or Edward will hear us."

Leah "Jezz. Ok"

As soon as our conversation ended, Edward walked in and smirked at me and only me. Damn it. He probably heard us from a mile away. The only seat available was the one in the back, DIRECTLY TO THE LEFT OF ME. I am so screwed, I thought. He sat directly next to me. I have goosebumps. Mr. Phyllis said, "We don't have all period Edward. Hurry up and sit next to Leah." Why, Mr. Phyllis, why? What could make my day even better?! Edward said “Nice to meet you I am Edward Cullen.” I replied “Hi I am Leah Clearwater. I have heard some things about you.” Edward replied “Like what?” I said in my head with a fine smirk on my face, “Your big secret.” Edward replied, “Which one I have many.” “So it is true.” Edward said, “What? What’s true?” “Oh you know what I’m talking about. That you are a…” I was interrupted by Mr. Phyllis, “So what is the homework Ms. Clearwater?” I replied “To read Act I Scene I of Romeo and Juliet, sir.” He replied “Good. The bell is about to ring so you may pack you stuff up and line up.” Just like that Edward was gone.

Edward's POV

"“Edward. Edward. EDWARD! Jezz Edward. You were really into it.” Eliaz said. “Sorry, I was hearing something funny, Eliza.” “Let me guess, Ed, you hear something funny that werewolves said?” Eliza replied with a smirk. “How did you know?” I replied while laughing. I kindly asked Eliza, “Wanna walk me to my English class?” Eliza replied, “Sure, why not.” When I got to class, Mr. Phyllis said, “Why are you late, Edward?” I replied, “Lost track of time.” Mr. Phyllis said, “That is not an excuse to be late. Now go sit down.” As soon as I realized that the only empty seat was next to a werewolf (vampire's worst enemy). So how can my day get any better? “Nice to meet you, I am Edward Cullen.” Leah  replied “Hi I am Leah Clearwater. I have heard some things about you.” “Like what?” I heard Leah’s thoughts and she said with a smirk on her face, “Your big secret.” I replied “Which one I have many.” Leah said “So it is true.” I replied, “What? What’s true?” Leah said, “Oh you know what I’m talking about.
