Y/ns POV
Glenn ends up driving, and I'm in the passenger. "Is it our fault? Amy, ed, and jim?" I ask. "Why would you think that?" Glenn asks me. "We brought the blaring car up here. It's our fault" I say starting to tear up. "Its not our fault. It's like morales said, they were running out of food in the city, so they started coming up the mountain". "I saw amy die, glenn. I saw her neck get bit in half." I say. "And that wasnt your fault ok? We'll make it to the cdc and hopefully there'll be something there. It might all be over." Glenn says.
"I hope so" I say. I feel my eyes getting stingy again. I cant get the thought of amy out of my head. "Are you okay?" Glenn asks. "Its replaying in my head." "What is?" "Amy." is all I say. The engine starts to steam. Glenn pulls over. "we just need to give it a little break" dale says once we get out. Then jaqui comes running out. "Yall jim, it's bad. I dont think he can take it anymore." She says before walking back inside. "I'm gonna go look for some supplies, maybe find some gas" shane says. Me and rick go into the rv. "Hey y/n" "hey jim". He looks horrible. Hes really pale and can barely move. "My bones are like glass, every little bump. This ride is killing me. Leave me here" he says.
"Jim-" I start before he interrupts me "in done. Just leave me" he says. "I want to be with my family." This hurts to watch. "There all dead. I dont think you know what you're asking" rick says. "Dont you think I know?" He sits up, ot tries to. "I'm clear now. In 5 minutes I might not be. Leave me here. That's on me. Okay? My decision. Not your failure" he says. Me and rick leave. Tears start to fill my eyes again. "Y/n what's wrong?" Glenn asks. "Jim wants us to leave him here" I say before I break down crying. Glenn grabs me and hugs me.
Rick and shane get jim and rest him on a tree. "Hey another tree" he says. "Breeze feels nice" I see shane trying to hold back tears. Jaqui goes up to him "just close your eyes sweetie, don't fight" and kisses his cheek. I go up to him. "You're a fighter, kid. Dont lose that" he says. I gently hug him "goodbye jim" and we go back to the car. I cant even cry anymore. I watch jim through the passenger door. "Hes at rest now y/n." Glenn says, putting his hand on my shoulder. "I know" I say.
We drive for another couple hours. "This is it" Glenn says. We walk up to it, weapons drawn and bang on the door. We wait a minute for the doors to open. They don't. We bang the door again. I look up and see the camera. It moves. "Guys the cameras moving" I say. "You imagined it. Nobodys here" dale says. "No. It moved" I say. "Y/n I know today's been hard for you-" glenn starts " I SAW THE CAMERA MOVE" I almost yell. I run to the door "OPEN THE DOOR! OPEN THE DOOR!" finally, after hearing a click, the door opens.
