For years, ella didn't think her life would get any better. She worked hard at the same dead end job that left her in debts. Her boyfriend of two years left her for someone better. At least that's what he said when she caught him one night at a club with some red haired waitress in the storage closet. She was devastated. Months passed before she had gone through. Then her mom died leaving her to take care of the funeral. Her father had never been there. She had no siblings growing up so she dealt with the pain alone. Her friends had ditched her back in high school for the popular lifestyle. Now all she had was her imagination. Where she would imagine living in a world with fairies and dragons. Sometimes, she would write stories about a normal girl, living a normal life and then finding out she was part fairy, part dragon. Ella felt like when she would write these stories she wasn't alone. These characters were there with her.

And now that she was sitting in her little one bedroom cottage near a river Bank, she felt at peace with the pain from her past. The black haired girl sat in her beige chair writing a sad story about a prince and a fairy. A mug of hot cocoa at her side. Soft music played in the back ground helping set the mood for a calm evening indoors. Cinnamon scented candles were lit, filling the small living room with a delightful fragrance. "Well thats enough writing for today, Ella. How about a walk in the forest?" She said to herself, closing her computer and stretching. Tonight was one of the nights she wasn't going to worry about waking up the next morning and having a terrible day.

The sky was calm. The stars and moon filled the night with enough light for ella to see the trail that led to the river. The weather was perfect. Not a bit of cold breeze and not a hint of heat. It was the perfect temperature. Ella's silky hair bounced as she took each step. A smile on her face and a pep in her step. Totally unaware that she was being watched. Someone watched as she sat down at the river Bank and dipped her feet in the water. She smiled and took in the breeze that the waterfall was providing. She might hate being alone but it was times like this she wouldn't want anyone to be around her. She cherished these moments.

Before the young adult could get more comfortable, she heard a rustle from the trees on the other side of the riverbank. "H-hello? Is anyone out there?" Ella asked, getting nervous. She had never been in this situation so she was a bit worried for her future. Ella waited for someone to respond, but nobody did. So she did what anyone would do. She brushed it off as if it was just a bunny. Quickly returning to the relaxing moment, she didn't give the last minute another thought.
