-Mizumi's POV-
"Did you guys hear?" Synthia ran up to us, dragging me & Anika towards the bar where Lira stood laughing slightly.
"There's a really strong mage coming to the guild tomorrow, although no one knows who." Lira replied, still laughing a little. Syth shook her head, confused by the pink-haired mage.
"Well, to pass time until tomorrow lets go on a job?" Anika suggested, holding up a flyer that showed a simple monster hunting job. Syth & I nodded, following Anika out the door.

"Anika jump!!" what had started as an A-class Job had become an S-class Mission.
I watched my friend leap out of the way as the monster we had been sent to hunt swung a sword at her. I growled impatiently, backing up slightly before I turned & sprinted away. Anika caught up easily & the two of us dashed back to Syth.
"Any luck?" She shook her head, silently working on Aoi. Kaede sat next to her, watching intently while her two tails swished back & forth to show that she was still alert for danger.
"We're gonna have to withdraw if we can't beat it soon, not unless you've got a better idea Mizu." Anika sighed, glancing at me. I thought for a moment,
"I may have a plan. You take Kaede & attack with all you've got; activate demon force & everything. I'll do the same & see what I can do about that sword. " Anika nodded, turning to Synthia she said "Once you're finished here, take Aoi & have her take you to us so that you can help us out with our injuries." The black haired mage agreed then watched us leave.
"Kaede!" I called,
"Right!" She replied, shifting into her demon form. Anika & I both activated demon force, then Anika leaped up onto Kaede's back. The two of them charged forward while I ran through the trees; my hands moved to grip something seemingly attached to my belt. The monster raised it's sword, preparing for the death blow. It began to lower it; but we were quicker. Anika continued forward & just as the sword was about to hit, I leaped in the way & blocked it with my own. The sound echoed through the clearing; with winds so strong that trees bent under the force of it. Anika struck at the monsters legs & sent flames rushing up it's fur. It collapsed in front of us, apparently dead.
"I haven't seen you use your sword in a while Mizumi." Anika said slowly, staring at our opponent. I shook my head slowly,
"I haven't needed to. It's been a long time since we've faced anyone with a sword." I admitted, sheathing my fiery blade.

-Synthia's POV-
"Somethings not right here..." I murmured, glancing around at our familiar hometown. Mizumi shrugged, while Anika just muttered something about Aoi. Unfortunately she was still sick, so the bluenette's mind was on other things at the moment.
As we approached the guild, something suddenly barred our way. Mizumi & I immediately surrounded ourselves with magic, yet Anika took a few seconds to realize what was going on before flames began to rise, creating a small whirlwind around her feet.
"Who are you? You seem like strong opponents, what business do you have with this guild?" The figure yelled, just as we began to sense his level of magic ability. It was as good as one of the 10 Wizard Saints! Slowly, I began to feel the air pressure next to me slow down compared to the whipping winds of a tornado from only a moment ago. I glanced at Mizumi, watching as she began to move forward. Suddenly, she whispered something; something that surprised me.
"Brother?" Then, instead of a slow advance, she sprinted towards the figure; tackling him to the ground with a laugh. "Dai!" She exclaimed, Anika & I watched in shock; confused by the immediate change in our friend.
"Wait..." Anika started, I looked at her, "This is Mizumi's brother?"

Hey guys! Surprise huh? Well anyway, after that cliffhanger I doubt anyone can wait for the next chapter. We may be hopefully updating every Thursday, or at least every second Thursday we aren't too sure.
