Prologue
——————————————————————————-
Dream's cape lay drenched, as he knelt down stiffly, holding up his thick diamond blade, drenched in a dark crimson liquid, arrowing it towards the sky. Rain cascaded down his sword, clearing away most of the dark red as droplets showered his mask, where sat a smiley face, a plain white background letting the blunt features stand out wildly.

A crack sat on the side of the mask, in result of a recent war, May or may not have happened just minutes before. Dried blood lay in the corners of his mask and drenched the bottom of his boots, and just a sliver of red sat on his dark green cape.

Dream inhaled a shaky breath before his request, " I seek a friend- A loyal partner! Willing to pay their life for my respects, for power, for my desires I yearn for! " Dream screamed, though you couldn't see, his eyes were tightly clenched. " I have gone alone for too long now..! I need to win these wars- Or I shall never get the power I was meant for! Was born for! " He continued on, every now and then shifting in his knelt position. " Anyone will do! Just promise me I'll leave these times with all I the power I could every dream of! " He finished, slamming his sword down with a loud CLANK! He shivered slightly at the cold rain pelting down on him, but tried his best to ignore the uncomfortable wetness.

Dream shakily stood up as he picked up his sword again, clenching it tightly in his palms. He slowly walked off of the stone slab he was kneeling on, now drenched with water. He glanced around for a moment before stopping beside a tree, he could wait out the rain here. Not long before hand, Dream had walked about about 30 minutes away from L'manburg to shelter for the night.

He sat down under the tree, it being well covered on the top with bunches of leaves, enough to keep him dry enough. Only time would tell if the gods of craft would answer his call- his special request. He silently hoped they would, with all his heart.

He needed power.

Dream glanced upwards noticing a good pattern of branches. Yes he might be homeless, but he won't miss a chance to sleep comfortably. Dream placed his sword into his inventory before grabbing a hold of one of the branches after standing up, throwing himself up into the tree, landing perfectly on one of the branches. He shuffled his body around- almost accidentally falling off from one of the slippery branches from the rain, but held on tightly- before finding a comfortable place to lay on the silky wet branch, knowing he wouldn't fall off while asleep.

He slowly closed his eyes, as he let the satisfying sound of the rain pelting down on the leaves of the trees, sooth him to sleep.

One day. One day he would get the power he deserved.
