CHAPTER 13: Bruno's vision

     Cathrina Rosewood POV's 

            "Mira! The cave's gonna fall! And I don't want to be HERE when it happens!" I yelled at the girl, who was hastily picking up the shards. 

    She got up, the pieces in her bag and we bolted for the entrance. A rock suddenly came out of NOWHERE, about to fall on Mirabel. I pushed out my hands and a jet of water once again came out, only this time, much stronger. It soaked the rock and dissolved into sand. 

     "D-Did I just do that?" My eyes widened, staring at my hands. 

        "You have PLENTY of time to to that LATER after we get out of here!" Mirabel shouted. I tilted my head in a nod and just as we slid to the door out of Bruno's room, the door closed shut. 

      "It's easier to get in than out." I stated, coughing. I looked over to Mirabel. "You okay?" 

    "She gave me a weak smile. "Y-Yeah...I'm fine." 

          That lie didn't convinced me the slightest bit. She was clearly NOT okay. And I, was clearly not DUMB. Hey, I may look stupid but I'm not actually THAT stupid. 

   "So, what now?" I asked, I gestured at her bag that held the pieces of Bruno's vision. "How are we gonna put them all together? Do you need magic or something? Or just do it normally?" 

       Mirabel looked quizzically at me. 

       "I meant the normal way! Like puzzle pieces!" 

       She still looked confused. 

  "You don't know what a PUZZLE is?!" I exclaimed in disbelief. Mirabel lunged on me and covered my mouth. 

       "Shh! Don't forget Dolores can hear us!" she hissed. "Now come on, let's go back before they notice we're gone." 

            We ran back to the main hall where Camilo spotted us. 

       "Hey Cath. Where've you been?" he asked and looked at me. "I've been looking for you." 

    I raise my brows at him. "Why? What's up?" 

       Mirabel looked between us and smirked. "Yeah, why, Camilo?" The Colombian boy and I turned RED. Oh this girl is dead. I glared at her. 

    "Never mind that." I said sweetly but through gritted teeth. "Me and Mira just went out." 

       "But you weren't in the market, right?" Camilo frowned. "Cause I just went there." 

 "Not really." I bit my lip. "I-uh,-" 

      "Me and Cath went off to visit the secret river that only I, know about." explained Mirabel, squinting her eyes on me. 

       "Oh." Camilo looked suspiciously at us. I faked a grin. He's eyes then widened. "Mirabel! You're not dating Cath, are you?!"

       I shook my head like he was mad.   

    "Don't be stupid, Camilo." Mirabel said, rolling her eyes. "Come on Cath, let's go see Mama." 

       We hurried down the kitchen were Julieta was busily cooking. 

 "Goodness Mirabel! Why are you so sandy?!" 

 "I fell in the park's sandbox." Mirabel answered simply. "Mama, me and Cath are going to my room, okay?" 

       "Sure honey."
