Chapter 2 (8 years later)

I yawned as I woke up.It was finally morning.I went outside and went to the river,then I rinsed my face with the cold, refreshing water.Then I looked at my reflection, but before I knew it I was also looking at Ora's."Good morning, Ranna, happy birthday"she said.It was my birthday,and I was turning twelve."Thank you, Ora" I replied."Would you like some breakfast?We have bread,and some...bread...and uh...bread"she asked.I was starving."Hmm...there's just so many options...but I think I have to go with bread"She smiled and laughed at all of the sarcasm going on.I laughed a little bit too."Great choice.Coming right up," Ora said. I put my feet in the river and flopped back onto the edge as she walked away.Wow.I've never tried this before.It's so relaxing and makes me forget about everything.I could fall asleep right here.
I lay there for a while,but the I sat up to look if Ora was done.Nope,not yet.I decided to take a walk.So I stood up and went by the trees,but then,I ended up at the small tree-bush thing.The same one I fell into when I escaped.Thats when all of the memories came flooding in.About Halousa,slavery,stone beds,Aya,even the frightening war.I started to cry when the war came to my mind.I could be in Egypt helping rule,and be treated with respect by lots of other people.But instead,I had to watch my parents die from flying arrows.So this is what I've become.I also missed Aya very much.I began to wonder if there were any possible way to see Aya again.I wiped off the tears and stopped crying by saying,"It's my birthday" and thinking about what kind of fun things I could do.I felt a tap on my shoulder and smelled something delicious.Before I even turned around,I said,"Hello,Ora I know it's you!"I turned around,and I was right.She smiled and said,"Your bread is done." I took the bread that I couldn't stop sniffing."Thank you, Ora," I said.She nodded happily and walked away.
I began to think how I could help Aya escape from slavery.Luckily we had some inventions like wheels and things like that.I thought of what I can do with them.I just sat there and thought... until I came up with an idea!I can make two wooden boxes out of a tree,and put wheels on each one and connect them.I can go to Egypt and get Aya and put her in one of the boxes while I get in the different one,and we'll roll back to Mesopotamia.I will definitely need some people to help me,so I can ask people in the village.I think this is going to work.I think it's going to work just fine.
