Life goes on (Greys Anatomy FF)

I was different before her

At first uncertain, Lexie went to her half-sister and then she faced her directly. She was otherwise a bit more talkative but after Meredith left her like that yesterday, Lexie had no idea what she could have said. But she didn't have to, Meredith took over the part and began to speak.

"So I'm really sorry that I just left yesterday. I should have at least let you talk. "

Lexie really was amazed by what Meredith had just said. Lexie would have expected a lot but not those words. When she hadn't answered right away, Meredith looked at her a little surprised, but Lexie's eyes had widened and now it was the younger of the two who was shocked. Merideth put her head aside a bit to get Lexie out of her thoughts, which she did amazingly well. Because the dark-haired woman shook her head slightly back and forth and then began to speak.

"I'm sorry. Uh no is okay, it was certainly a shock for you."

"Yes, that it was. I just didn't expect to have a sister and I never heard anything from him, which I didn't want in the end.  I would say that we start from scratch and forget that."

Lexie smiled happily at her half-sister. "Yes, I think that would be really nice."

"Well , first of all, I would like to introduce you to someone very special ."

Again, Lexie's facial expression changed into a questioning and she hesitantly ran after Meredith. She thought that a special person could be her boyfriend or husband. Not quite sure about this assumption, she also asked the question, in  hope Meredith would  hear her. Because the dark blonde woman ran away from the front much faster, Lexie jogged more or less behind her. Then she accelerated her step to walk next to Meredith.

"Do you want to introduce me to your boyfriend?"

"No." Meredith smiled

"Your husband?"

But before she could answer again, Meredith was interrupted by a childish voice. Which made Lexie frown.

„Mommy."

A little girl with long, curly black hair. She had blue green eyes. At first glance, she didn't look like Meredith, but on closer inspection you could see the same facial features. She had a radiant smile on her lips, which immediately made Lexie smile. Then the girl jumped into Meredith's arms, which she had caught and whirled through the air. Immediately the little one began to laugh even more, which led Meredith to drop her off again. The younger of the two women had lovingly watched the scene. It amazed her because Meredith was apparently such a good mother. Sam had also noticed that someone had been watching her, she looked skeptically in Lexie's direction and looked at her for a few seconds. But before she knew it, Lexie smiled kindly at her, which also made Sam smile. It was an honest smile what she had given to her new aunt. She didn't even know it was her aunt. Sam brushed a few hairs off his face and hinted at Meredith bending down to her. She immediately complied with her request.

"Mommy who is this?"

"You can talk loudly, otherwise you're not shy." Said the young mother lovingly. She then saw a pout and decided to tell Sam.

"Sam this is your Aunt Lexie."

"Lexie, that's Samantha. My daughter."

Lexie bent down so that she was at the same height as Sam and then stretched out her hand.

"Hello, It's nice meeting you."

Hesitantly, Sam first stretched her hand in the direction of Lexie, but then she decided to do something else. The little girl pulled her hand back again, which shocked both adults a bit, as they did not yet know what would happen in the next second. Sam spread both arms and a lot of Lexie around his neck. At first completely overwhelmed, Lexie looked to her big sister, who had begun to laugh heartily. That meant she wasn't much help to her. Since Sam had half-torn Lexie, she had to support herself with one hand on the ground in order not to land on the ground. With the other free hand, she hugged her niece. A few minutes later, the hug was over and Lexie stood upright next to Meredith again and Sam had also stood next to her mother.
