He reached just before me. He looked at me with an unreadable expression set on his face. He then looked at Ariamis with a frown and said “I thought I only allowed you to bring one girl at a time.” My eyes bulged at what the man had said; Ariamis had a cool expression on his face as if nothing at all bothered him in life. He looked at me and said “she was not actually planned. But I think you’ll find her very interesting” before he could elaborate on that a melodic voice called out “yes yes she defiantly is very interesting and what’s more is that she’s Ariamis’s mate”

I looked at the girl who had spoken, Aaron had his arm around her and both of them were grinning at me. “What” the man cried out “you have a mate and you dare bring another girl home? What on earth is wrong with you Ariamis what example are you setting to your brother and sister and what about the rest of the people in the kingdom who look up to you like you’re some sort of god?” he said all this on a rush and so stopped to take a few deep breaths after this. Ariamis just looked at him a cold expression on his face “well then what do you want me to do father?” he asked before stalking away with Sasha hot on his heels trying to calm him down or something like that.

“Come on then” Aaron said looking at me with a kind smile. I returned it with one of my own and followed him to the cars that seemed to be waiting to take us to wherever.

The car ride was uneventful, Aaron and the girl were off chatting in their own world, while Ariamis and Sasha were in another car and the guy who I assumed was the king was in another car, I was with Aaron and the girl whose name I still didn’t know.

After about a half hour drive from the airstrip a vast expanse of brilliant blue sea came into view, followed by a castle. Saying that it was big was an understatement; it was humongous and was made of huge beige stone blocks. There were four main towers extending up to the sky from the main building of the castle but there were smaller turrets too. The castle was situated on a rock cliff that had a steep fall into the ocean.

The cars parked outside the castle and I couldn’t help the amazement that took over me. Aaron grinned at me when I looked over at him.

“Welcome to our humble abode Sam” he said.

“You live here?”

“Of course we do. We’re royalty. Isn’t it fit for royalty to liven in a kickass castle?”

“Yeah. But just don’t put kickass and castle in the same sentence again, they really don’t go together”

This had him cracking up in laugher, while the girl gave me a broad smile. Just as she was about to tell me something Ariamis came up “let’s go. One of the servants will show Samantha to her room” with that he put an arm around Sasha and they stalked up the castle steps.

Aaron shrugged and motioned for me to follow him. He led me into the castle, which if I had thought look great outside was nothing compared to how amazing it looked inside. Blood red tapestries hung on the walls like curtains for the gold framed portraits that were hung on the walls. A grand staircase led upstairs and was floored with the same shade of blood red as the tapestries. My mouth was hanging open as I took all of this in. Aaron chuckled at me.

“So you like it?”

“Yeah I guess it looks amazing. Who are all the portraits of though?”

“If I actually get into all that right now we’ll be here all night”

I laughed at that. Aaron led me up the staircase to what he said was the third floor and where the three of them had their rooms as well. He then led me down a corridor and to a normal looking brown door, “this is your room. Ariamis is right across the hall and I'm in the room to your right” he said. Then giving me one last grin he left but not before calling out “use the room well” I shook my head at him before turning the doorknob to the room in front of me.
