I just stood there and stared at him “your home?” I asked the surprise clearly evident in my tone. “Yeah; the place where I live; where I grew up; my home” he said annoyance clear in his voice at my apparent lack of understanding

“I know what home means” I snapped back at him. To which he only rolled his eyes and then looked over at his brother who suddenly yelled out “I found it” while jumping up and down like at idiot. He finally calmed down and handed a set of keys to one of the guys standing around him while walking over to us. He then held out another set of keys which were dangling on a blue crescent moon keychain. Ariamis snatched them out of his hand and the unlocked the car door. Just as Aaron was about to turn around I grabbed onto his arm “can’t I sit in your car?” I asked.

Aaron looked at me sympathetically but shook his head, “its full” he said but then glanced behind me and quickly added “and I doubt Ariamis would even let you sit with us” he said this so softly that I had to strain to hear him and I realised that this was just for me to hear.

With that Aaron gave me a small smile and the turned around and walked back to the other car, got in the driver’s side and then drove off. “Are you done staring dreamily after my brother?” I heard from behind me “and do you plan on getting in the car or do I have to personally shove you in?” he added when I spun around and glared at him. “Actually I don’t plan on getting the car, I'm staying right here.” I answered him while crossing my arms across my chest and staring adamantly at some random brick on the school building wall. “And shouldn’t the cops have come, since this is a privet school and you are obviously breaking the rules by even being here” I now sounded like a bitch, thanks to the tone I was using.

“Well would you really be surprised that I have connections?” he asked and I could tell that he was smirking at me, not taking offence at my tone at all; instead he actually seemed amused by it! Then without warning he got out of the car, wrapped his arms around my waist – which felt really good – and dragged me into the passenger seat next to him. He then proceeded to buckle me up and everything before starting the car and speeding off. I just had enough time to quickly glance behind me at the school gates. Through which I could barely make out a figure that had blonde hair just like mine, and who I suspected was my brother.

But then we turned around the corner of the road and the school was lost in the distance as Ariamis drove past at a rapidly increasing speed. Suddenly a thought struck me “what about my mum and friends?” I asked. He turned his head towards me, completely ignoring the road ahead and answered me with a simple “I'm sorry Samantha” this answer of his held none of the scorn or hatred or anger that he had shown in the past time, instead it was like when we had first met after he had removed the sword from my throat, when he was kind and sweet and actually cared about what happened to me. “So I'm never going to see them again, am I?” I asked

“No Samantha. Your brother will explain to your mum what she needs to know, while your friends will move on eventually. But you had to come with us, why though you will find out soon, though truthfully even I don’t know.”

“Ok”

After this both of us were quiet, Ariamis seemed deep in thought as he drove while I just kept my gaze on the passing scenery, I had no idea where we were but we were defiantly outside the city. I didn’t even know where we were going; all I did know was that we were going to their home, wherever that was.

Tired of looking outside I gazed at Ariamis who didn’t even seem to notice, and then I fell asleep.

We had finally reached the privet airfield of ours, I know a privet airfield who needs one, apparently we do, not that I'm complaining, just saying. No one apart from us even knew this place existed. It was like I Michaela called it “hidden in plain sight” it was invisible to anyone who wasn’t looking for it, meaning every human on the planet.

I drove in and parked the car next to Aaron’s and undid the seat belt. I then looked towards Samantha and smirked at what I saw, she was fast asleep and hadn’t even noticed that we had stopped. Shaking my head and chuckling lightly I had to stretch across since she was curled up tightly against the car door with her feet up and everything, her skirt had pooled up near her waist giving me a clear view of her perfectly shaped legs. This made me smirk even more, but then I heard Aaron telling me to hurry up and I quickly gave her a light shake, she didn’t even budge, I shook her a little harder now feeling thoroughly annoyed, she only curled up tighter.

Sighing I got out of the car and stretched, Aaron came over a confused look on his face “where’s Sam?” he asked “oh its Sam now is it?” I asked him in a teasing tone while ignoring his question, making him glare at me; I only laughed at this and then motioned with my head towards the car. He looked at me confused but the leaned down in front of her window and I saw a smile come over his face.

“Can I open the door?” he asked with an evil look now plastered across his face. “Surprised you would even ask, but no. we can have her hating us more than she already does.”

“Well actually she I think she only hates you” he said sheepishly “oh and I’d also blame you if you let me do that” he added before turning away and scurrying off towards the awaiting plane which was already waiting for us.

“Yeah feelin the love bro!!” I called after him sarcastically and the turned towards Samantha.

I gently opened the car door and perfectly caught her as she fell straight into my waiting arms. I expected her to get up but all she did was make herself comfortable in my arms, which meant she curled up in them and kept sleeping. I turned around and shut the door with my leg as I carried her bridal style to the plane.

I climbed up the steps careful not to let her legs hit the side of the door, which meant I had to enter sideways into the plane. As I carried her down the aisle of the plane I couldn’t help but notice the little details about her, how she weighed hardly anything, the way her legs were crossed at the ankles as if she were sitting, the way her hair pooled perfectly around her amazingly soft blonde hair pooled perfectly around her shoulders (I even felt that the streaks in her hair seemed a little lighter than it was earlier, which was crazy considering how that wasn’t possible) the way her head fit perfectly against my chest hell the way she fit perfectly in my arms as is she was meant to be there. As much as I tried to stop myself from noticing these things they were now embedded in my memory for the rest of my existence.

I finally reached my privet cubical which was across the aisle from Aaron. Thankfully the door was open allowing me to slip in easily, but the sight before me made me made me stand still and stare. Sasha – or that’s what I thought her name was – stood before me with a flirty smile on her face. But as soon as her eyes landed on Samantha in my arms her smile was replaced with a scowl “who the hell is she?” she asked.

“None of your business” I answered her a little too sharply. She glared at me but said nothing; instead she let out a huff and sat down on one of the seats. “Um Sasha, could you please use the common seats up front?” I asked, and if I do say so myself it was quiet polite. She looked at me with her mouth hanging open, confusion and disbelief etched into every line on her face. But without another word she stalked out, banging the door shut behind her. I sat down in the seat which Sasha had just vacated, Samantha still in my arms, I could have easily put her down by now, but holding her gave me a feeling a had never felt in so many years, I feeling I thought I would never feel after my mother passed away, the feeling of home.

And as I sat there with her curled up in my lap, I had never felt more at home.
