Beep, beep, beep.

Beep, beep, beep.

Beep, beep, beep.

"Ugh", I muttered sitting up straight and glaring at my annoying alarm clock which was still beeping away on my bedside table.

"Sam. Get up, time to go to school. Breakfast is also ready."

"Coming ma" I yelled. Then jumped up from bed and looked around my room, where on earth had I kept my clean uniform. I distinctly remembered keeping it on my chair but right now only my blazer was there, the skirt and blouse seeming to have disappeared into thin air, overnight.

I walked over to the end of my bed to see both my blouse and skirt in a heap on the floor. Sighing I picked them up, not bothering to worry how they got there though I had a suspicious feeling it had something to do with my brother.

Shrugging to myself I skipped off to the bathroom that I shared with my brother. Not a vey easy task.

"Carson, are you done yet? It's my turn hurry up already" I yelled at the locked door while pounding on it with all my might. "Jeez woman stop banging on the door and wait." Carson yelled back at me. Huffing I turned towards the staircase and yelled "mum, Carson is not letting me use the bathroom and I'm going to be late because of him."

I heard my mum sigh and then ascend the stairs. She walked towards me and I couldn't help but notice the strain on her face like she hadn't been keeping well. Her deep wavy brown hair which I had inherited was drawn back in a really uncomfortable looking bun on the top of her head. She also looked thinner than usual. Her light blue eyes which were identical to mine seemed to have lost their sparkle. But then her eyes rested on me and a smile light up her face a smile to which I just couldn't help but smile back. The sparkle in her eyes seemed to return a little and that only made me smile more.

She pounded on the door just like I had done a few second ago. "Carson hurry up, will you" she yelled. Carson flung open the door and looked at mum sulkily "why do you always side with her?" he whined. I smirked at him and then slid past him into the bathroom.

"Carson" mum started "why don't you finish using the bathroom before your sister?" "Well for one I have always used the bathroom at exactly this time and two she got up late not me."

Mom sighed and look at us "Carson you will use the bathroom from 7:00 to 7:30 Sam it's yours after that. How does that sound?" she asked.

"Fine with me" I answered and then shut the bathroom door on Carson's face. "Thanks mum" I added after a minuet.

Half an hour later I was ready to go. I took one last look at myself in the mirror. I was dressed in my usual school uniform, a dark green skirt with a white blouse and a plaid green pullover on top. Today was one of the rare occasions where I left my hair down, I had taken my time to curl it into gentle waves which fell down my back, my hair was naturally highlighted in a honey brown colour which seemed to go perfectly with my deep brown hair, I had a feeling that the honey in my hair as well as Carson's was from our dad, not that we would ever know for sure though.

I grinned at my reflection and quickly shook my head getting all thought of my farther out of my head successfully. I walked out of the bathroom and skipped down the stairs. Mum was just placing our lunch on the table when I entered the kitchen. Is my Car ready yet I asked with a grin at my mom using the nickname I had given Carson when we were little. Carson was 9 and totally obsessed with cars I was 7 and just couldn't get what was so great about cars and so I started calling him Car, not only was it short for Carson but also covered his love for cars, which remains to this day.
