Something slimy and hot dripped down my neck. I turned around and saw a gaping mouth right beside me, drooling torrentially down my neck.
"EW! Why did you do that?!" I shouted.
My friends and I were standing on a luscious hill, the smell of waffles and cup noodles wafting through the air. Andrew, Julian, Tristan, Ryan, Chris, Jerry, Amiya, Peanut Butt, Harry, Billygoogoojiggy, Max and I had all been transported there by some strange magical portal.
A sign that read Camp Half-Blood stood before us. The fancy, shiny gate was encrusted with diamonds. However, there was nothing past it. All I could see were more luscious green, rolling hills. I was wondering what we were doing there when suddenly, I felt something gross and realized Julian had been drooling on me.
"Look there," he whispered, his face filled with horror.
I turned. Three pairs of eyes glared down at us from about three meters above our heads. The smell of Jerry's big toe was so intense it couldn't possibly be Jerry's big toe. The stench was coming from the black, three-headed beast that towered over us. It looked to be some kind of colossal dog, like Fenris Wolf, only with two additional heads.
I heard myself gasp. Next to me Andrew screamed in my ear.
"Dkjdfliusdfnaslkdfjoiuewrojalsdkjflkjdsfja!!!!!"
I flinched. "SHHHH!!!" I hissed back at him, covering my ear with my hand.
Poopleheim, my sword, began to shake in his pendant form. I felt his fear.
Jerry took off his tie and readied himself to attack, swinging it above his head like a cowboy tossing a looped rope. The rest of my friends also took out their weapons. Julian wielded his double-bladed ax. Tristan and Billygoogoojiggy got their hammers out. Ryan and Chris drew their swords. Andrew summoned his trident and Harry his nun chucks.
The dog bore his fangs at us, showing his black gums. His drool fell at our feet like a waterfall.
Jerry whipped his tie at the creature, but to our surprise, the tie of death went through the beast as if it had been a ghost.
"What on Earth?!" exclaimed Jerry.
Julian sliced his double-bladed ax at the dog, but like Jerry's tie, it went through it too.
"Why doesn't my weapon work?" asks Jerry.
"I think none of our weapons will work!" said Amiya.
I summoned Poopleheim from its pendant form. I held him above my head and slashed with all my might.
Again, it went through the dog's body! The sword hit the ground with such power it almost cut the hill in half.
The dog growled and stomped over the cracked land, which made the hill break apart even more.
"RUN!!!!!" Andrew shouted.
We went through the gate, and suddenly the scenery changed.
Perfectly dark-blue sky connected beautifully to the ocean in the distance. Twenty or so cabins lay over a carpet of flawlessly mowed green grass. Trees surrounded the clearing like a caring parent hugging a sleeping child. The smell of waffles and cup noodles from before was stronger now, coming out of one of the cabins.
We ran downhill, but the dog did not chase after us. I think, perhaps it was because of the magical border that had kept the place invisible to us, and it also protected the people inside from monsters.
A young, friendly voice spoke behind us.
"Welcome to Camp Half-Blood," he said.
He was tall, with sea-green eyes and black hair.
"Who you?" asked Chris.
The guy smiled. "I'm Percy Jackson."
