*White Chocolate*
Leila couldn’t make the difference if whether her heart was pounding because of her claustrophobia or because of the affectionate way Nathaniel was holding her. His arms enveloping her as her face rested on his broad chest. Then he told her, “Why don’t we seat down” yet his arms still enveloped her; he turned her around; her body still in his grip while her back collided with his chest. His arms swung around her body once more, enveloping her, while they slid smoothly down to the floor of the elevator. Leila relaxed her back fully onto his chest, her body cradling in between his legs, while her head rested on the crook of his neck. Nathaniel’s breathed shallow breath, as he felt her breath on his neck, a breath that brought life to every fiber of his body.
“What’s taking them so long?” Leila asked him, her breath touching his lips. “I thought you said it was a power surge.”
“I know I said that” he responded, bringing his head a little up to be closer to her face, although they are in complete darkness. “I’m sorry. But it most likely is a power surge.” He assured her, while taking her hand subconsciously and starting a game of thumb war.
“Well they should hurry up” she said as she twirled her thumb around his,
“I don’t know,” he responded, locking her finger under his, “I like it” he said resting his face on the back of her head, distracted by her euphoric scent, Leila squealed,
“I win” but Nathaniel lets out a chuckle.
“That’s because I let you won,”
“No you didn’t!”
“Did too”
“Fine! Again then; unless you’re scared.” She taunted and Nathaniel took her hands again, starting a new game.
“So why are you so scared of elevators?” he asked, the sound muffled as his lips is placed on the back of her head.
“I’m not scared of elevators; I’m scared of being stuck on them and what can happen.” She confessed. “I don’t know how you are so calm, I don’t even know why you make me so calm, because knowing me, I should be in panic mode”
“So it’s good that you’re stuck with?” he asked,
“Very good.”Leila said as she noticed their hands had stopped playing the game, and started playing with each other; “Do you have any fear Nathaniel?” she asks.
Leila had surprised Nathaniel asking abut his fears. The truth is he had never given it the thought. “I don’t know,” he confessed, “I really hadn’t given it much thought I guess”
“Well everyone has got something they fear” she pushed.
“How about I get back to you”
“If we get out of here,”
“When we get out of here” Nathaniel responded, chiding her for being pessimistic.
“Did you ever apologize to Sasha” Leila asked while Nathaniel stiffened in the back. “You didn’t do it, did you? Nate!” With a big sigh, Nathaniel responded
“I’m sorry”
“You yelled at her for no reason, that wasn’t very nice, it didn’t make you look like a very nice man”
“Maybe I’m not a very nice man Leila” he answered with a chuckle.
“I beg to differ; you show me the nice part of you, maybe its time to show it to the world. So apologize to Sasha. Promise me”
