MATTHIAS
"Son..."
hahahaha.
"My Achilles, I-"
Hahahahaha. A distant voice echoes and continues to laugh despicably. My hands. My legs. I can't die here now. I must make amends. I must let him know... I
hahahaha, you fool...
"I'm so sorry..."
...
ACHILLES
My hands continue to tremble. My head spins. I- can't feel... I-can't-
Achilles, we need to talk...
Why didn't I just go home. Why...
"Achilles!" I turn around to see my two friends staring at me with disbelief.
"Achilles, we gotta get to the hospital, now!" Alex yells out with fear in his eyes.
My hands... I can't see. Tears run down my face. Don't cry. I- I can't breathe. I-
Thump!
....
CHLOE
Thump!
I turn around to look outside and see Achilles passed outside on the pavement.
...
JEAN
I knew it. This day was going to come sooner or later. I just thought maybe...
we could at least get through the first day.
Fuck....
This is all too soon. This wasn't supposed to happen until after graduation. You'll pay for this...
Circe...
...
ACHILLES
Please, stay with me...
Her eyes glow radiantly like the sun, eternally warming my soul. Everything surrounding me is white. Everything around is fuzzy. So...warm. So...fuzzy.
My son...
Mom? Nothing seems to come out though, wherever I am. I call out again and again.
nothing.
My son... kill her for me. The lady in red. End all of this suffering. Please...
Achilles...
I wake up passionately in a sweat. Mom...
That was the first time I have ever heard her speak out my name.
I look around to see what seems to be a hospital bed and a bunch of needles and tubes lodged into my veins. I look up tiredly to see both my friends staring with the most worried looks on their faces.
Just, what the hell is going on?
My friends try to speak, but nothing seems to come out, not even a how are you or maybe and explanation for just what the heck is going on?!
"Achilles," Alex finally mumbles through his breath.
"You passed out, after..." he began
"after?..." I sputter. He unlocks eye contact with me.
Oh. That's right. My parents. Their...
dead...
My face becomes flushed once again.
"Where- are they?" I mutter through my raspy tone.
"Well, they found your mother, but" Jean begins.
"But, what?" I begin to speak louder with more force.
"Well, after the car accident, they only found your mothers body..." Alex spoke. "Achilles, your father is nowhere to be found." My eyes shoot wide open. I pull out all of the IVs stuck into me and begin to aggressively get out of the hospital bed.
"Where is that son of a bitch... He's gonna pay for this!" I shout, anger rushing through my every vein.
Badoom. I freeze.
Achilles, we need to talk...
I remember now. My eyes begin to well up with tears as my friends come over to hug each of my sides.
Damnitt. What do I do? Just where in the hell is my father?
I- I don't know what to do.
