Encountering Someone New

"Calm down" I told myself.

"If you think so much, your brain will explode".

I rolled over and stared at the cloudless sky. The stars looked so beautiful shimmering in the endless night sky. Why couldn't I be like the stars, just sitting up there ,having no care in the world and just impressing people with its beauty. 

That reminded me of the sparkling people. I just wish I knew what had happened in my past. I really wanted to know what had happened to my parents. I just need one clue, just something to start off with.

" only if I knew where they were" I said out loud closing my eyes.

 ~ Morning ~

The feeling of the damp grass is what woke me up. I stood up and looked around me. I was in a totally different place to where I had fallen asleep last night.

“Hello? Anyone there?” I shouted out into the forest, hoping to hear an answer.

No one replied.

Alongside my backpack lay a damp piece of paper, it had something written on it. I looked closer, there was an arrow draw on it pointing West. Under the arrow it said:

Go West, it will help you accomplish your journey

Wow?! Umm... ok. I'm not trusting some paper kept beside my bag. It could be from anyone. 

All of a sudden I heard something sprint through the forest in front of me. Just for a millisecond, I thought I saw something shimmering in the forest.

“What if this is a related to the sparkling people?” I thought out loud

What if this leads me to my parents?

At the thought of this I immediately took my backpack and sprinted West. I ran faster thinking that I might find my parents.

I ran for the next two hours hoping to find something. I slowed down after a while, thinking that after running so much I would consume too much water. I only had a limited amount of water. I slowed down to a walk

I had been running for the last two hours and seen nothing except trees.

I looked up at the sky, the sun was at its highest. No wonder I was feeling hungry.

I sat down and took out a tin of fruits from my backpack.

"I wonder where my parents are" I randomly thought out loud. Oh god! I'm starting to talk to my self. It hasn't even been a whole day since I left the orphanage and I'm already going crazy?

"I know where they are" replied a voice behind me.

I froze on the spot. Who would be out here without a very good reason? Probably the person that put the note beside my bag. Wait... I did need some help, maybe this person could help me. I slowly turned around and saw something I didn not expect to see. Behind me was the most beautiful human I had ever seen. No, this could not be a human, he was way to beautiful to be a human. Uggh... see thats me going crazy again. What else could he be if he wasn't human?

The main thing that really made him stand out was his unbelievably pale skin. His amber eyes, which almost looked golden, never left mine. He stood a head taller than me.

" Wh... who are you?" I slowly managed to ask, hoping he wasn't a cereal killer. 

"Someone you don't know" he replied. Ok, now this is getting creepy. This something you would see in movies.

 I took a step back worried he was going to hurt me.

"Don't worry, I wont hurt you. I am a friend of your parents"

"My parents? You know my parents?" 

"Yes, in fact they are my really close friends" he said as a matter of factly

" Do you want to meet them?" he questioned

"Yes" I said immediately without giving it a second thought.

"Come with me then".

I didn't move from my spot, how am I supposed to trust this random stranger? He could really be a serial killer. He could be taking me to some place where he kills all of his victims. Ok, I really needed to stop coming up with all these random thoughts. I wonder though, does he really know my parents?

"How can I trust you" I blurted out

"if you want to see your parents, you have to trust me".

Now that I can't go back to the orphanage, I might as well trust him. I don't have anywhere else to go. He might just help me find my parents. 

I pick up my backpack and followed him into the forest. He started running into the forest and out of my sight.

"Hey, wait up" I shouted

He appeared just as fast as he had disappeared into the forest.

"Oh, sorry, I forgot you were only a human"

"Well, so are you" I answered to his weird statement.

"You never know"

I hope he's trying to be funny, but right now, he's just creeping me out. 

He started walking without another word.

"So, whats your name?" I asked when I caught up with him

"Tristan" he replied

"Oh. You said you know my parents. Did they tell you... um... what my real name was?"

"You don't know your real name?"

"No. This lady bought me to the orphanage because she just found me on the street. I was too young and too much in shock to remember my name"

"What did people call you then"

"Electra Rosiles"

"OK then, that what Ill call you"

"No, No, No. You need to tell me my real name"

" I actually dont know it"

Ok, now I was starting to question my decision.

I remembered what he had said earlier about me being human. That was weird.

Ohh well, I guess people are just weird these days.
