Chapter 2 - Coffee Shop

A/N: Hey I hope everyone is having a good day/night

"No, Glimmer it's not a date," Adora said annoyed "aren't you meeting up with her for coffee" "yeah I am but it's not a date I have to make sure that she is caught up." Glimmer rolled her eyes still not believing her friend.

"hey, what are you talking about" Bow sat down next to Glimmer "oh nothing just that Adora has a date with the new girl" Glimmer said with a huge smirk. "IT'S NOT A DATE" Adora shouted feeling extremely frustrated. "okay what's going on I'm confused," Bow said looking at both his best friends, "my maths teacher asked me to make sure Catra is caught up with the work so I'm meeting her for coffee later" "so why does Glimmer think its a date" "because Adora got her number plus she called Adora princess"

"It's just a stupid nickname" both Glimmer and Bow started laughing "sure, whatever you say Adora." bow said wiping a tear away "you're meeting her at six right" glimmer said looking at her phone "yeah, why" " well you might want to go its almost six" "oh shit" Adora put her stuff in her bag "speak to you later" as adora ran off to meet Catra glimmer shouted "have fun on your date"

As Adora was waiting for Catra to show up she ordered a caramel latte and sat down by the window. She looked out the window and saw Catra smoking with her headphones on with a skate broad in the other hand.

Catra flicked her cigarette bud on the floor and opened the door. she spotted adora but as she walked towards her she noticed a worried look on the blond's face "what " "you shouldn't smoke it could kill you" "duh, that's kinda the point" Catra said nonchalantly. "Catra that's not funny" " whatever" Catra sat down opposite Adora.

Adora finished her latte and got up "I'm going to get another drink, do you want anything?" "no I'm good, I just want to get this over with" " why don't you want to hang out with me," Adora said half joking half serious. "It's not that I just hate maths" " so you do want to hang out with me," Adora said while smirking "w-what no" Catra started blushing "just go get your stupid drink"

When Adora sat back down with her drink, she thought she would use this opportunity to get to know Catra "so where are you from?" Adora noticed how Catra's whole body tensed up "umm, all over I've moved around a lot" "why have you moved so much" "it doesn't matter, can we just do the work I don't feel like being interrogated." "I wasn't interrogating you I was just curious but if you don't want to talk we can just work" Adora was disappointed that she couldn't learn more about the mysterious girl but decided to try again later.

It was now seven "thank god, were finally done that was so boring" Adora laughed at Catra's comment "yeah it was boring" Adora started packing her math books "so what are you doing now" "I'll probably just go for a ride then go home, why" "well I was wondering if you wanted to hang out for a bit" Adora started to rub the back of her neck "I don't really want to go home yet," Catra noticed how anxious the blond was getting "okay we can hang out for a bit but if you start asking a bunch of questions, I'll leave, got it" Catra didn't want to go home ether and even though she would never admit it she actually liked being around the blond "fine I won't ask you about yourself" Adora choose to agree with Catras terms.

As the pair finished packing their things Catra turned to Adora "this is not because I like you" "uh-huh whatever you say."
