The sky is wide and clean and since this month has been trying to burn down the cool air with the help of the fierce fire ball,Conrad had chosen a new spot near the wall and sat there lying on the wall along with the roses.
His sheeps were busy preying on the green grasses while the goats there were jumping around the little hut.
He was busy studying the birds that flew over his head.
"Lucky you!You could witness the beauty of two countries from here.But I can't even imagine what the world is like behind these walls!"he thought.
As he was playing with the roses whose thorns playfully rubbed against him.He heard a voice of a girl singing.The voice came from the other side of the wall.The song was funny but the voice more sweeter than Raiviya City Bees' honey!
As she sang,"I've been lonely here in the farm,
All my life I've been sitting here near the barn;
Those city girls wear poppin frocks and fluffy gowns,
But I'm lying on the hay tryna bounce-"
"Well,someone's here trying the same! haha!
Oh! dear, Could I ask you what is your name? " He sang back.
"Huh?"she remained silent for a while.
"The two countries fighting!Oh!Isn't a shame!
I'm so serious,I ain't playing no game!" He responded to the silence of the girl.
She was confused to hear such words from the other side of the wall while he was laughing breathlessly,totally enjoying this game.
"Huh?Who is that?" she asked.
"Hmmm..I was the one who asked your name first!"he said jokingly.
"Conrad!What are you doing there lying near the wall?Who are you talking to?" A voice called out for him."Uh-huh?Are you talking to the wall?Are you sure you're not going crazy?" His aunt was fetching water from the well.
"Hmmmm,I'm talking to myself!" He shouted.
She laughed.
"Is your name Cornell?" She questioned.
"Huh?Did she hear Conrad as Cornell?Whatever!" He thought to himself.
"Hmmm,my name is-",he paused for a moment and then continued,"Yes!It's Cornell and what's yours?"
"I'm not interested in telling my name!" She replied coldly.
"Uh-huh.Okay miss,How's life on the other side of the wall?Just curious,you know!" He kept bombarding her with his stupid questions.
"Life here is awesome.Our country is developing faster than yours.And it also seems like people in our country are well-mannered than your people who hurt everyone by throwing stones and sticks over the wall!" She slammed him with her bold comment.
"Huh?Seriously?Oh!Cool . That's just the little kids here.They are naughty.People here scold them if they do something like that. But I'm glad to know the good lifestyle and all the comforts you'll have.Hmm,the talks are on the final stage of demolishing the wall.So,if the wall is demolished,I would like to meet those well-mannered people and also enjoy your country's view and cultures!" He responded back calmly.
"Hope you get a chance to experience the ethreal beauty of our country-",she stopped and looked around and then continued,"So,how's life on the other side?How is your country doing?" She asked him out of curiosity.
"Hmmm,my country is primarily dependant on farming and cattle-rearing.But the cities here are gradually developing and since your country is bit more developed.We would really appreciate your country's assistance in our development."
Even though he knew what she told him about her country's development were all fake.He only said the truth and never wanted to show off.
"It depends on the government.And no matter what they do,it's people like us who suffer the most.I would like to see our countries working together but at the same time.I would hate to see this wall being destroyed!Each of the brick here is made of up million memories!"she sighed.
"Wowwww!!!I can understand!I grew up here too.It has only been ten minutes and we are already discussing world politics here.I really love your company,Miss-"he paused and smiled," Do you still don't want to tell me your name?"
"Oh!About that-",she hesitated before she spoke again,"I don't want to tell it."
"Okay!Then,I'll name you?How is that?" He asked cheerfully.
"Huh?Sounds great!"
"So,your name will be-" he thought for a while.He looked at the roses that lay beside him."Since we got to know each other in the edge of the wall,amidst these beautiful rose gardens,I'll name you Rhosyn!Do you like it?"
"That sounds pretty cool!So,according to Cornell.I am Rhosyn!Haha!"she laughed.
"I really do love your company. It has been a while since I've gone out of town and my other friends here have packed their bags to the capital,so I've been feeling a little down.But now I feel like I've got a friend at the other side of the wall!" He smiled.
"Although you can't see it!I'm smiling here!"she replied.
"If somebody finds out I'm talking to a guy from the other side of the wall,I'm dead!" She told him nervously.
"Then don't tell them!-"he laughed." It's just the same here too!"
She laughed,"I too feel that I've finally gotten a real smile on my face after a long time!"
And that is how it all started......
