Genova and Silvia sat outside the house in the front yard stargazing. Sylvia placed her head on Genova’s shoulder and he held her shoulder.
“Genova?”
“Mh?”
“After you defeat Kyrian…” she paused.
“Yes?” he asked.
“You will have to leave me and return to your Kingdom, won’t you?”
“No, and yes. I will return, but I will not leave you. I will take you there, with me, where we shall have a grand wedding”.
“I didn’t say I wanted to marry you." A smile played on her lips mirroring the blush on her cheeks.
“Really now? Okay, I will marry you.” Genova laughed.
“Isn’t it going to be a problem?”
“Of course it is going to, but I will be king no one would dare to question me."
“But, what’s wrong with it?"
“If we have to become the king and queen, we will have to pass through the gates of hell.”
“Oh…?”
“So, they won’t believe a mortal can pass the test.”
“Fine, why can’t I become one of y’all? My father once told me immortals are humans who cultivated or died and were crowned immortals.” Sylvia said.
“Yes, but you have to die first to get crowned and there is no assurance that you will be, and to cultivate, you need eighty years. Anyone who cultivates into an immortal must truly be special.” Genova responded.
“So why can’t l…?” Syliva asked raising her head and looking at him.
“At the first stage of your trial, you shall be struck by thunder and fire for six times and you shall have to begin your cultivation again.” Genova replied and tapped her nose.
“Eh? Do I really need to become immortal?” Sylvia asked and they both laughed out loud.
_Gondolph_
Kyrian stood at the edge of the kingdom with a hundred of soldiers ready to fly down, when his right hand man, Koneta, walked to him.
“My lord, how sure are you Genova is still alive?” he asked. “He was really injured when you threw him down."
“Genova has been stuck by lighting every nine level of his training, he has fought with a gun for countless wars. He fought a three headed beast and came back alive. He wiped out a whole army, like nothing, my brother is a one man army. All I did was barely enough to scratch him.” Kyrian replied and waved him away.
“Yes, my lord.” he bowed and walked away.
“Listen up everyone!” Kyrian said, “If any of you should get hold of Genova, don’t kill him.”
“You still care about your brother?” One of the soldiers asked him.
“Of course not, I want to kill him myself.” Kyrian replied and jumped then started to fly down.
_Earth_
It was 8 am, Genova and Sylvia stood by the window side, starring through it.
“Genova, when I get to your kingdom, how should I behave?” she could not control her fantasies.
“You can behave how you already do.”
“But, won’t your relatives be upset?”
“When I am king, they won’t dare upset you, and if they do, I will punish them.” Genova replied wrapping his hands around her.
“Unlike you immortals, humans die a natural death, you will need to take another immortal as a wife in the end, I am afraid…”
“Of what?” Genova screwed up his brows, “that I will stop loving you, my heart can only belong to you no one else.“
She took a deep breath and starred at Genova for a while. She smiled and turned to the window at the skies once more.
“Can you tell me about you?” she asked.
“I will, when we get to Gondolph.” Genova replied.
“Even a little?” She asked.
He turned to look at her for a while. “Okay.” He took her to a chair and sat down, motioning her to sit, and when she did he smiled.
“I am Genova, the crown prince of the castle in the sky, Gondolph, a fire kingdom. At my age, level, and status, you should kneel when I talk to you…”
_1 mile away_
Out of the skies, hundreds of people burst out, landing on the ground, led by Kyrian. A great wave shook the grounds and burned a couple who sat talking.
“Genova come out!” Kyrian thundered and shot fireballs into a building making all the people in it to scamper for safety.
_Silvia’s house_
“I was…” Genova suddenly talking and turned to the window.
“Is something wrong?” Silvia asked.
“So much power, my brother is here. This is bad listen, Sylvia, no matter what happens, do not leave the house.” He shot some sparks from his hands and vanished into the thin air, using his spiritual aura to shield the house, leaving a shocked and confused Sylvia staring in his wake.
_1 mile away_
“Genova!” Kyrian bellowed, “All these people are going to die because of you!” He barely finished talking when Genova jumped in and touched the ground with a punch so heavy that that the soldiers flew away.
“Dear brother, I am here.” Genova said slowly standing and dusting off his clothes.
“Finally, our end has come.” Kyrian said.
“You brought all these people just for me? I am glad you still think very highly of me.” Genova with a smirk as some of the soldiers enclosed him.
“You flatter yourself.” Kyrian scoffed “I wanted you to have an audience when you die.” At the same time, they charged towards each other and began to fight. They exposed their wings and flew into the air throwing fire at each other, while the other soldiers stood watching them. Kyrian began to beat up Genova, taking the upper hand by burning and hitting him. Once more, Genova stood no chance and Kyrian lifted his hands, which was covered with a black fog to hit Genova to the ground. Genova fell with a thud to the ground. The impurity pendant fell out and landed in front of Kyrian. Genova watched what was happening with groans, as Kyrian picked it and gave it to the soldier closest to him and approached Genova again.
“This time, you are completely finished.” Kyrian mocked.
Genova stood up, but as he did, blood flowed out from his mouth. Kyrian smiled. “Oh wow! You are injured. I guess I underestimated myself!” he laughed. Genova wiped the blood off his mouth and looked at his hands the black blood. Understanding what this meant, shook his head. “No” he said and disappeared.
“My lord, shall we follow him?” one of the soldiers asked.
“No. There is no need to chase a dead man.” Kyrian replied the soldier he gave the staff, Koneta, walked closer to him.
“Why?” he lowered his voice into a whisper and could barely hear himself.
“Because I poisoned him.” Kyrian smiled and started to fly back to Gondolph with the other soldiers following him.
_Silvia’s House_
Genova appeared in the living room and fell on the floor spitting out dark blood, Sylvia ran into the room and helped Genova on the chair.
“Oh my goodness! What happened?” She exclaimed helping him into a seat. She ran to fetch a piece of cloth and a bowl of water and started to nurse him. Seeing the extent of the injury on his chest, tears dropped from her eyes. She cleaned the injury and put some medicine on it.
“You are badly injured,” She said in between sniffs. “How can your brother do this to you?”
He opened his eyes and tried to talk but more blood came out instead of words, “Don’t try to talk. Shh.” She did not even pay attention to the colour of his blood as she tried her best to wipe it away immediately. She wiped the blood as more flowed and she continued to wipe the blood. This went on for half an hour and she got worried that he might not have any blood left. Then, she suddenly remembered that he was not mortal.
“I will be here to take care of you.” She said and turned away so that he does not see her bitter tears._Gondolph_
Kyrian returned with the impurity pendant and sat on the throne. All the elders he had hitherto summon bowed before him.
“From today, the forgotten witch shall be in charge of the crystal palace.” he said “You may leave.” The elders walked away murmuring.
_The Cave_
The witch watched Kyrian’s order from her crystal and smiled. She vanished and reappeared in the Crystal Hall. She banished the former keeper and sat down with a heave of relief."Finally" she said
_Palace_
Kyrian sat on the throne drinking when Koneta walked towards him.
“My lord,” he said with a bow, “do you think leaving Genova alive was a wise choice?”
“What? Do you doubt my abilities? Remember, I poisoned him.”
“My lord?” Koneta, asked with a shock on his face like he was hearing that for the first time.
“I poisoned Genova, but I will still need to kill him, the poison will not kill him. It would only make him wish he were dead. I shall go back in two days to finish what I started.” Kyrian smiled. “The poison I used was truly the perfect poison.” he nodded with a smile again.
“Why is that my lord?”
“Because, the only antidote is my death.” he laughed aloud and took a swig of his drink.

Genova opened his eyes slowly, looked at his hands and chest, and saw the bandages Sylvia used to bind him and exhaled. She was sitting with her head on the chair and fast asleep. He got up from the chair trying not to make any sound to wake her up, but when he stood up and fell to the floor. Sylvia jumped awake.
“You shouldn’t have gotten up.” She chided.
“I am okay, I am fine. I just wanted to get a cup of water.” Genova replied and sat down.
“I’ll get it for you.” Sylvia said and got him water then sat beside him, “you were seriously injured, I have never seen anyone loose so much blood, I was scared I taught you would dead ” Sylvia said.
“It’s okay, I am fine now, I will never leave you.” Genova said “I just need some rest.“ She then helped him to his room and after tucking him in, left for her room.
When Genova noticed Sylvia was gone, he sat on his bed and held his chest. He started to bleed again, but still tried his best to be quite, the didn't even take long when the bandage got soaked, and so he had to get up, and put on a black robe he had made, then went to lie down back, looking really pale"Kyrian, you won't get away I promise" he said shivering under the blanket
