it was a fine march afternoon as the lee siblings decided to play hide and seek.
the sky was painted a grandious mix of different colours, ranging from orange to blue as they all came together to create the finest work of art.
fluffy clouds resembled the character of cotton candy, a flock of birds appearing to be flying right through the soft fantasy.
children's laughter mixed with hushed whispers rang through the vast greenery. the boy, only five years of age, giggled so hard as he put his hand over his mouth to muffle his small chuckles.
trees of green swayed over them, protecting their little heads from the droplets of rain hat began pouring from the sorrowful sky. the girl was four years old, not yet aware of the consequences of her unfiltered laughter as she continued to giggle out loud.
jeno attempted to make her quiet, failing miserably as his actions made yeeun laugh even harder. the pair was hiding from yong, their older brother.
"jeno! yeeun! we gotta go, it's raining!" just on que, yong's deep voice could be heard echoing through the woods as he walked around in search for his siblings. the two youngsters were now in a state of panic, the feeling of adrenaline pumping through their veins completely unfamiliar to them.
"yeeun!"
jeno called out, finally giving up and putting his hand over the four year old's mouth. yeeun hummed, squirming and muffling words of protest into his hand as she attempted to free herself.
"just shut up! he'll find us!"
"oh but he already did."
it was as if he appeared out of thin air, standing tall over the pair snuggled together under a tree. yong sighed as he watched his brother and sister visibly shiver in the cold weather, the two kids probably unaware they were even cold.
"yongie!" yeeun jumped up to greet him, accidentally shoving jeno in the process as she ran into her oldest brothe's warm embrace. yong stood still as he did se, face expressionless as he silently wrapped his arm around the girl.
meanwhile, jeno just sat there, droplets of water sliding down his face as he watched the two act so loving towards each other.
yong never hugged him like that.
"jeno."
the older called out.
"hurry up."
and he left, bringing yeeun along as he held her hand all the way down to their house.
leaving jeno to trail after them like a lost puppy.
