"Alwyn-" Aoife's voice was weak, tired. It sounded rough,
She couldn't even finish what she was saying when the dragon threw flames down at me.
The dragon's eyes glittered with tears, I couldn't understand why. The roar of the dragon tore through the air.
"Alwyn, the dragon-" I dodged as a fireball came down at me. "Her egg-" I dodged once again. "ALWYN! SHE WANTS-" The roar of the dragon silenced her voice. "HER EGG ALWYN!"
I scanned the land for the egg. The Heart Of the Dragon. I blocked some more fire that came at me and rolled the egg over to it's mother. Everything was silent for a beat, and the snarl of the dragon ripped through the air as she flew away with her egg.
For a few moments I breathed deeply
Aoife called out to me, bleeding, she fell.
