For a few years now I've been looking out my window every night just so I can get a single glimpse of the idol of my obsession. A beautiful, pointed ear red head dressed in a red and gold cloak. He bore a crown made of nature itself. Every night I would see him commute with sparkling lights in the trees. Multiple times I have tried to leave the castle and see for myself who this mysterious figure is. I had to know.

This is the night, I told myself. Tonight, is the night I will go down and see this creature for myself. I've been studying all these years for this very moment. I didn't know what I was getting myself into, but I was ready for anything--even if it was dangerous. I grabbed my clothes and tied them in knots attaching one end to the other then finally around the beam that stood in the middle of my room sticking out from the floor to the roof. I tugged on it to check the sturdiness and slowly made my way down my window. The tower I resided in was high up on the castle, so I had to make several breaks and tear away from my makeshift rope and slide down the castle tiles.

I admit, it wasn't easy. I did fall a few times on the way down and I believe this night I fractured a few ribs and broke my wrist on my fall. I brushed myself off and snuck out into the town. I didn't know about the dangerous of the outside world besides what creatures I could find, no one mentioned to me about the humans that I had known my whole life could be monsters too.

I watched as the ripped each other apart in the streets like animals and a few stumbling out of pubs and hitting on the women who waited outside. So, this is what it means to be a commoner I thought. I grabbed a random cape from a railing by the pub. I think someone left it and dressed myself in its musky scent. It smelt like booze and ass. What a disgusting combination.

I left the city and entered the world; our guards are really bad at their jobs it would seem. They left the gates wide open. I trudged through the soil below my feet and made it across the vast field to find myself at the start of the dark forest. I quickly entered and hid in the shadows and waited patiently. I was there for what seemed like hours and suddenly there it was, the pointed-ear red head. The lights in the forest began to glow, he spoke to the lights in a strange language. I never heard it before. Was it a witch? I heard stories about witches who whispered in tongues to put curses on people, was this thing one of them? But he couldn't be, it was too beautiful to be a witch.  Slowly I approached the creature. I creped forward trying to not make a sound when I suddenly stepped on a branch causing it to break under my weight.

The lights and quickly vanished, the red head snapped its neck towards me, its eyes were a bright glowing green and suddenly I felt something wrap around me and I was covered in vines. I struggled as they lift me up in the air. The red head came forward, it was a male, his voice was soft, but stern. "Give me a good reason I shouldn't crush your skull right now, human." He hissed. His words had venom.

"PUT ME DOWN THIS INSTANT! DON'T YOU KNOW WHO YOU'RE DEALING WITH??" I shouted, this was mostly out of fear, but I had to remain strong even if I was afraid. The vines around my ankle became tighter. "Who are you?" "PUT ME DOWN AND I'LL TELL YOU, YOU SAVAGE!" I scream at him; I could see anger in his eyes as he forced his vines to smack me down onto the Earth. They didn't let go of their grip. He walked closer to me; his feet were inches from my face. He pointed large staff in my face. "I won't ask again: Who are you?" I sat up and brushed the dirt off my face. "My name is Eric Cartman. I'm the prince of these lands." I scoffed at him. The red head rolled his eyes. "You're not the prince of these lands. I am. You're trespassing on these sacred lands. Has no one ever told you to never enter this forest?"

The only forest anyone told me to stay away from was the forest of no return. Then it hit me, I'm an idiot. This is that forest. I looked up towards the strange creature, the moonlight hit his face perfectly shining on his delicate features. I never seen such perfection before. He looked young, about my age. His eyes shun brightly and glistened from the light; they were like magic. His hair was in elegant wild curls that seemed to be barely long enough to straighten. The wind brushed his curls around giving him a mystical appearance. His skin was fair and clean, not a single wound could be seen on his body. He was thin, not a single muscle on his bones. I instantly fell in love, but I didn't know what he was.

"What are you?" I asked him, he furrowed his brows at me. "If I told you, you would kill me." I shook my head. "Why would I kill you? You're... beautiful." He shook his head in a confused manner. "Is this some kind of joke??" "No, not at all. I think you're beautiful." He hit my chin with his staff making me bite my tongue. "Quiet human. I will not fall for your lies. You people are the reason why we're even in this forest. Your people did this to--" He paused for a moment and his gazed softened. "You're injured..." "Huh? Oh, yeah. I guess I am." He kneels down on the fall leaves and puts out his hand. "Give me your hands." "Why? Are you going to kiss them?" He rolled his eyes.

"Like I'd do anything that degrading." I gave him my hands; his skin was so soft. It felt like silk. I could smell him with how close he was. He smelt like the sea. He whispered a few words, and I felt my bones moving into place. It felt like a spider crawled into my skin and created a web around my broken bones and pulled them into place. "What did you do?" I asked. "I healed you. Leave and never come back here again. You were lucky it was me who caught you. If anyone else found, you--you be able to be healed." He stood up and turned his back to me. "Wait, what is your name?" I ask. "Kyle. My name is Kyle Broflovski and I'm a Drow elf."
