Emersion walked over to Elora's side of the bed and lighted a candle and set it down on her nightstand when he heard a soft groan from the young Light elf. Now after three days she finally starting to wake up. Emersion put a gentle hand on her shoulder and squeezed it gently. "Elora?," he asked softly. Elora slowly opened her eyes and looked up at him anxiously. Emersion smiled weakly at her. "Elora? It's alright. I'm here," he said softly. Elora looked at him fearfully. "Who are you?," she asked. Emersion sighed deeply. What he feared had happened. Elora had lost her memory. He took a deep breath and smiled. "My name is Emersion. Don't you remember. I'm your Godfather," he explained and Elora looked at him weakly. "I think I remember you... And a woman... Charline," she began. Emersion smiled, "That's right. Charline is your Godmother. But she is mostly known as The White Witch," Elora looked up at him and slowly sat up in the bed and Emersion helped her sit up straight. "You need to eat," he declared, "I shall go and get you something," And he left the chambers, closing the doors behind him.
Emersion was worried. Elora had lost her memory of him and Charline. Did it mean she did not remember that her parents were dead too? He couldn't bare thought of her reaction when he told her that they were dead if she asked him about them. He just hoped she remembered that they had passed or at least that she didn't question them about it.
Eroan looked up once Emersion entered the hall and he stood up. "How is she? Is she awake?," he asked worriedly. Emersion sighed and glanced sadly at his wife and Charline sighed deeply. "She has lost her memory," he explained, "She does not remember us," Callon sighed and looked down. "I want to see her!," Eroan declared. Emersion stopped him. "That is not a good idea," he declared, "Elora does not remember you. She will be terrified if you were to walk into your chambers," And Eroan looked down. "Eroan, she will recover. She will remember you. I promise you that," Emersion declared softly.Elora woke up to baby crying and she slowly sat up and looked towards the child-beds she hadn't noticed earlier. She swallowed and got out of the bed. She slowly walked over towards the bed and looked down. The infant baby immediately stopped crying once it looked up at her. It smiled at her instead. Elora smiled weakly. "Hello there," she said softly, "Where do you come from?," the elf baby stretched up its tiny hands towards her and Elora looked aside towards the doors to make sure no one was coming before carefully taking the baby into her arms. She smiled. It felt so right having the baby in her arms. She heard another baby cry and walked over to another childbed to see another baby in it. "Who are you two?," she thought aloud. Both the babies were very similar to herself. Could she have been a mother and these two were her elflings. Emersion arrived back to the doors to Elora's and Eroan's chambers and he carefully opened the doors to see Elora with her daughter in her arms. Elora looked up at him. "Emersion? Who are these two?," she asked and Emersion entered the chambers and closed the doors behind him. He slowly made his way over to her. "They are your children, Elora," he explained. Elora looked up at him with a shocked smile. "I was a mother?," she asked confused. Emersion smiled, "You are a mother," And Elora looked at him confused. "Then who is the father? And why am I wearing a Queen tiara?," And Emersion smiled, "Because you are Queen and the father is your husband Eroan of Vildalion," he explained and Elora looked at him confused. "But... My parents are still the rulers," Emersion shook his head, "No, they're not. You are Queen now. Your parents they are gone," Elora looked down and Emersion knew that Elora understood what he meant with that her parents were gone. "Oh, I remember now," Elora mumbled, "They were attacked," Emersion sighed and walked over and sat down at her on the edge of the bed. "Elora, you may not remember," he began, "But when you were younger, you were much with me and Charline in her realm. You grew up with our children and we've always seen you as our own daughter," Elora smiled weakly and took his hand. Memories started flowing through her mind and she smiled. "I remember, Emersion," she smiled and Emersion gently pulled her into his arms and hugged her tightly.
Elora's memories had now returned so much so she and Eroan could be together again in their chambers but Elora couldn't stop thinking of what she was supposed to do with her aunt. Dianne had tried to assassinate her and now tried to kill her herself. She needed to keep her children and the Kingdom safe. But she couldn't kill her aunt. That would only bring more violence. She couldn't kill her friend either. She didn't know what she was supposed to do. Talk to her aunt was the thing she knew she needed to do anyway.
