Chapter 5:~The Love of Family~

Next day, Dianne sat in her cell when she heard footsteps approaching and she looked up and saw Elora approaching. She was dressed in a silver white dress with long sleeves. She had her golden blonde hair put up in a braid and she wore a silvery circlet elven tiara with diamonds and a necklace with a sapphire. Dianne did not look up at her brother's daughter, instead she ignored her. "What are you doing here?," she asked sarcastically, "Have you come to gloat?," Elora looked sadly at her and took a step towards the cell door. "I wanted to talk to you," she explained, "I hoped you could help me and tell me why you tried to kill me. My father told me you were kind and loving," Dianne looked up and sighed. "You don't understand, do you?," she snapped angrily before standing up, turning towards her. "My father, your grandfather traded me so your father could serve in Westrose army! A year after my marriage, my husband was murdered! And I had been completely shut out by your father as I am to you!," Elora stepped forward angrily. "My father thought you were dead or had sailed because you never responded to his letters!," she exclaimed, "And now you try to take my throne by assassinating me!," Dianne looked at her and swallowed. "So are you gonna kill me now?," she asked, "It's in our blood after all! I don't even understand why my brother, your father chose Emersion Darkeast and Charline, The White Witch as your Godparents," Elora looked at her angrily. "Because they always cared for me since I was born," she declared, "And they were also good friends with them," Dianne snorted at her and turned away. "I am not going to kill you," Elora declared, "I want to help you. What happened was not your fault and you shouldn't deserve to pay with yourself like this because of what my grandfather, your father did," Dianne looked up at her, tears welling up in her eyes. "Don't you see, Elora?," she began, "This is who I am now," Elora looked at her sadly before leaving the dungeons.

Elora sat in the meeting hall Emersion, Charline and Callon when Dianne was brought into the hall by Eldridge and two guards. Elora stood up and walked over to her aunt. Callon was the first to stand up and walk over to the Light elf. "We thought you were gone forever," Callon said slowly and Dianne smiled. Callon gently hugged the daughter of his dear deceased friend. Dianne hugged the artist back before breaking the hug. Elora smiled at her aunt and put a supporting hand on her shoulder. "You're home now," she said kindly. Emersion smiled and looked at Charline. Elora glanced at the portrait of her father and felt a single tear run down her cheek and Dianne put a supporting hand on her shoulder. "He would be so proud of you," she declared. Elora held back her tears and let out a shaky breath before she softly started to sing
