Hey Guys!
Sorry for keeping you wait for a week, and my apologies for this chapter for its only short but the next one will be longer, I promise.
So our Junior-Senior Promenade is coming up and heck! I don’t know what to wear, and not to mention, I suck at fashion. Anyway, I’m not really excited about this event although I’m still a junior and this is my first time.
I wonder who will ask me…never mind, no one will anyway.
So here’s chapter 9 and I hope you’ll like it!

Chapter 9: An Eventful Evening [Part 2]
While walking in silence, I checked the time to see it was already 4:34.
When we’re inside the house James took a deep whiff of air and exhaled it heavily.
“I miss home” he commented.
“You’ve only been out for a few months here, you already miss it?” I asked him incredulously.
In the summer, we went to New York for a family vacation after our friends’ trip to Paris. And after New York, James directly went to college without going back here so I guess it’s hard to leave a house you’ve grown into.
“Yeah, who would? I mean, this place is so much better than my condo. It’s so small you know.”
“Well, duh, this is a family house of course this will be bigger” I stated rolling my eyes.
Making our way to the elevators, we continued our conversation.
“But still… I’m not use to living a smaller house” he mumbled although I caught what he said.
“That’s life bro, you have to get used to it. You don’t need to live in a freaking humongous mansion for the rest of your life. “ I rambled in one breath.
“I know little sis, sometimes you’re more mature than I am” he smirked and I scowled at him, going out way out of the platform and into the hallway.
“Whatever” I shrugged turning my attention to the hallway walls.
“So Zech, how’s life and why are you here anyway?” I heard my brother asked my best friend while we continued walking slowly to Christy’s room.
Zech fake gasped “Ah!.. You don’t want me here? It’s okay. I’m just going to leave after dinner.” He sniffed dramatically rolling his fist in his eyes.
“Oh, don’t be such a girl” I interjected their conversation with a smirk looking at him.
Zech glared at me while I laughed at him. I turned to James to answer his question to Zech “He’s staying for a week because his parents have business trip in London and he hates living in his mansion alone. He says it’s boring so he decided to stay here for a little while.”
“Boring? Dude! You should’ve thrown a party! You have a freaking house for yourself!” my brother yelled punching Zech on the shoulder making him grunt.
Yeah, my brother is party cracker. He held one of the massive parties when he was in high school but not in this property because my parents came up with strict rules. So when he decided to throw a party he will hire a restaurant or a bar for the entire school to come.
Nerve wrecking right? That’s my brother, but I’m surprised he’s not one of those rich sons who spend their dollars for nothing but my brother only hold a party for celebrations which my parents consider but everytime my parent considers something, there will be a condition in return.
So, my brother’s condition for one party is joining one of the school’s clubs which my brother accepted with no hesitation. Let me tell you something, my brother is a quarterback nerd. I know right? That makes him the greatest brother in the whole wide world and I thank God for that.
He’s the popular but not the player or the arrogant quarter back. He’s just him, definitely a gentleman which I’m very grateful.
Another fact about my brother… He’s a virgin and never had a girlfriend. How did I found out? Well, everytime class ends, he’s always in the house first and never comes out. Everytime there’s a party, he will always bring me and stick in my side everywhere which is sometimes annoying. And he is always well organized, loyal and perfect grades… just perfect. That’s why we all love him so much.
So back to reality, Zech glared James while rubbing the spot where he punched him.
“I don’t throw parties. My dad will be awfully mad. You know he’s scary right?” responded Zech raising his eyebrow.
“Mr Hunterson? Yeah, man’s got a temper” James joked a matter-of-factly.
We all laughed at that side comment. Zech’s dad really has a temper. When he’s nice, he’s really, really nice. When he’s mad, you don’t even want to know. One thing to know about him: never get on his bad side. He’s the worst when he throws a tantrum.
I only saw him have a tantrum once and it’s in public; when Zech and I got lost in Disneyland when we were both 10. We went to buy some ice-cream and we forgot to announce to them that we will be buying. So after we bought, we began looking for them from where we left and found no one. So we decided to stay in that spot in hope for them to return.
When my brother James found us, he called dad and in a fast ten second they’re already on our side. Mom was embracing me while Mrs. Hunterson was embracing Zech. it was really funny at that time because our moms were crying and Zech and I are calm.
So when Mr Hunterson reach our place he immediately shouted saying things like he’s really worried about us and blaming every guard and maid we have on our side and Mrs. Hunterson was apologizing to every person he blames saying to just ignore him because he have a temper. He looks like an untamed animal at that time and I laughed at the memory.
James and Zech turned to me “What’s funny?”.
“Remember that time when your dad was like an animal throwing temper tantrum in Disneyland?” I asked laughing. Immediately, Zech and James started to laugh remembering the memory.
“Yeah! That was hilarious! But seriously, he looks dangerous at the same time. Only your mom was able to calm him down.” James recalled talking to Zech and patting his back still laughing.
