Sanctum Sanctorum, Greenwich Village, New York
[Anthea's P.O.V]

It was pretty much a normal day. After one and a half years of living in the Sanctum, it became a kind of habit.

Wake up, do some training in the morning, either have classes with Dad, or do homework from previous classes with Dad, maybe hang around the sanctum after, but what happened was completely out of my expectations.

I woke up as per usual, getting ready for training as Dad knocked on my door, a smile present on his face as he was already in his sorcerer outfit.

"Hey, kiddo," He greeted me. "Ready for training?"

"Yep," I nodded, smiling a little. "Just waking up mentally."

My dad scoffed, smiling at my response, crossing his arms as he stood at my doorframe.

"Alright," He chuckled. "Be sure that you're up mentally soon."

"Yeah, fine," I smile, Dad, nodding after before walking off.

I smile to myself once he is gone. I couldn't help but feel that something would happen today, something big. And I hoped it was something good.

Training went well, managed to pin Dad down for once, and I am pretty proud of that. I stood up, grinning before whooping, Dad wincing as he pulled himself up to stand. He chuckled, ruffling my blonde hair, a habit he developed every now and then.

I frowned, smoothing my hair down. He burst out laughing at this, placing an arm around my shoulder.

"Great job today, picklock," He smiled. "As a reward, you get to pick what we get for lunch."

"Hm..." I hummed, my eyes soon widening once I realised what I wanted. "Ooh! I know. You know that deli you got sandwiches from last time?"

He nodded, smiling down at me.

"Got it, kid," He ruffled my hair for the last time, walking in the direction of his room to get ready to leave. I smiled, calling out 'thanks' as I went to my own room.

I quickly showered, changing into a tee and shorts, sitting at my desk as I pulled my work out. Dad hadn't really decided whether I should go to high school yet, so homeschooling was my only bet. I plugged one earbud into my ear, leaving the other out just to be sure that I could hear my surroundings.

I hummed along to my music, doing the worksheets for around half an hour. My progress seemed steady, I remembered Dad saying so himself. At least I didn't let him down. My focus then was shifted from the sudden crash and it sounded as though it was coming from near the front door.

I rushed over to the stairway, spotting a large beam of light rushing through the middle of the staircase, my eyes widening as I looked at my dad, spotting him at the bottom of the stairs.

"Stay back, Thea," He frowned, running towards the hole as the Cloak of Levitation flew in his direction, my Dad pulling it over his shoulders as his once-casual outfit morphed into his sorcerer wear.

Wong pulled his shields out as I frowned, my own casual outfit changing into my usual sorcerer wear, my fans appearing.  We all ran near, peering into the pit in the stairs to spot a half-naked man, his green skin fading as he panted heavily.

His eyes were wide with fear before looking at the three of us, bits of wood still smoking as the next few words slipped his lips.

"Thanos is coming," He rasped out in fear. "He's coming..."
