I think William had noticed the same thing because his expression that was once happy was now angered.
I didn't say anything I just got out of the car holding the paperwork in my left hand. William shoved the keys into his pocket as we walked to the large double doors.
As he pulled the door open the smell of cheese and pepperoni almost knocked me onto my ass. I missed that smell, I hadn't been to the restaurant in some time so it was nice to be back.
As we walked through the doors a tall muscular blonde man caught my eye. He was talking to my father at one of the tables. Alongside Clara, she wasn't talking more of just creepily hovering.
William took my hand and led me to the table where he sat me next to the buyer, and he sat down beside my father, "so what are we thinking."
The buyer looked up at William with an eerie grin on his face. "Mr. Emily and I already figured everything out."
William's face quickly dropped as he turned to my father. "What's he going on about Henry?"
William now visibly was angry. His eyebrows turned down and the little piece of hair was dangling over his face.
My father sighed as he turned to William. "We already figured everything out. this nice gentleman bought the restaurant from us. And he partnered with Clara."
What?!
I felt my hair stand up. I knew William was about to lose his god damn mind. His anger is what made the urgers worse. If he didn't calm down soon it would mean he would kill someone.
William scoffed placing his fingers onto the bridge of his nose. Sighing loudly he placed his hands on the table. "Henry. Why would you simply not wait for me?"
My dad chuckled awkwardly as I watched his face go red. "Well. We were waiting and then Clara showed up and wanted to talk to the nice gentleman here. They figured some stuff out and I just signed the paper."
William quickly reached for the paper and slid it to face him. "Henry do you know what you just signed off on?"
My father shook his head. William stood up from the table causing his chair to fall backwards onto the ground. "You just signed off on a paper that is removing our name from the whole business. And because Clara is the sneaky little whore she is she cut me out of the deal."
I could see that my dad felt bad for not waiting for William. I felt uncomfortable sitting here. "William I'm very truly sorry my friend."
William scoffed rolling his eyes. "I just wanted money so Y/N and I could have our own life. But daddy here couldn't even get that figured outright."
William stormed off to one of the side rooms slamming the door behind him. I sighed as William now acted like a small child.
I sat at the table with my hands crossed on my lap staring at the table. "Y/N I'm sorry hun."
My father's voice rang in my ears. As he passed me a water bottle. "It's fine dad. He'll get over it."
I sat up and started to walk towards the door William now hid behind. I placed my hand gently on the door. "Will, can you unlock the door, I have some water."
I heard feet scatter across the room before the lock clicked, and the door opened ajar.
The room was dark, I couldn't even see where William was standing. I walked into the room and shut the door behind me. The click of the door closing all the way made me jump.
I reached for the light but William's hand grabbed onto mine. I got a chill as his grip got tighter. "William, what are you doing?"
As my eyes slowly adjusted to the darkness I could make out a figure in front of me. I mean it was William but not my William. "I don't want you to see me like this."
