DeMar's Pov
8:25 a.m.
The Next DayI peeked through the window at the grey skies and the swaying trees. It was overcast, with thunder rumbling, signaling rain was coming soon. I love rainy days, but only when I'm home and don't have to do anything but sadly I gotta go to practice. We have a game tomorrow night vs the Celtics on our court and we have to get in that extra practice. I didn't bother waking De'arra to tell her I was leaving. I didn't even sleep in the same bed with her lastnight. What I saw on her phone was still on my mind I can't have a regular conversation with her until she tells me something. I shook the thoughts out of my head and headed to the refrigerator to get a water and a protein shake. I heard her footsteps coming down the stairs which made me kinda nervous but irritated at the same time. She was dressed like she was going somewhere casual but I didn't bother asking her anything.
"Have you seen my phone? I can't find it anywhere." She asked calmly.
"You left it in the car with your purse remember." I said not even looking at her.
"Right." I watched her head to the door and as soon as she closed it I ran to the window to see if she would check her notifications. She took out her stuff and closed the door and came back so I ran back to the kitchen before she came into the house.
I was done packing. I stood, making a mental note of everything I have and if I was forgetting something.
"What video you think I should do toda-"
She paused. I guess she finally saw the messages.
"Something wrong?" I said as I watched her suspiciously. She jumped at the sound of my voice causing her to look at me.
"Uh, everything's fine. It's just Alexis. She's supposed to be in one of my videos today. She a little nervous. I'm gonna go call her." She tried to laugh but I could tell she was nervous. She's a terrible liar. I said nothing as I watched her run up the stairs speedily. All I could do was shake my head.

At Practice
Coach wrapped things up early as the rain was pouring down and there's been reports of a possible storm. We just finished cooling down and we're huddled up listening to coach. This game is really important, we've been on a winning streak and we want to continue it.
"Alright fellas, see y'all tomorrow night. Remember we head to Dallas next. Everybody reach home safe." Said coach.
"DeMar, let me talk to you for a second. Are you ok?" Coach asked with his arms folded.
I let out a small laugh before answering. "Yea, why?"
"Because during practice it's like you're here but your mind isn't. What going on?" Coach tried to read my expression but I bowed my head. Coach was a really cool dude and I know I can trust him but I never like talking about my problems.
"I'm cool, it's nothing serious. Don't worry." I said as convincingly as possible.
"You sure?"
"I'll be fine coach. Thanks for asking." I laughed genuinely.
"Alright, you head home, a storms coming."
"Indeed."

11:48 a.m.As I pulled into the drive way I saw De'arra walking Alexis to her car. They both looked kinda sad but you know these females so emotional, cry for everything.
