Chapter 6

Gulf's POV:

I'm not comfortable now, I'I want to ask if Meow so is JM? is he the boy who gave me the promise ring? is he the one mama is referring to? but why doesn't he remember me? Is it because I look different?  I'm still cute by the way.

I talk to myself as I walk into JM’s classroom. I wouldn't have asked him about what he said the other day, but because there are only one day left and the school break is about to begin. it's good that their next class hasn't started yet when I see him laughing while he's talking on his phone. I coughed fakely and this is the reason he turned to me.

"Ahm, kuys. I talked to you later okay. See you soon. Bye." Then he turned off his phone and put in his pocket.

So he talk to his childhood friend.

"Gulf, why are you here? is there a problem? Are you being bullied by Vanny's group again?" he asked me worriedly. I immediately shook my head and smiled.

"No. I just want to ask you something, if it's okay.?" I said nervously and excited at the same time.

" of course. what was that?"

I took a deep breath then looked at him and spoke.

"are you my Meow?" I asked him directly. his forehead suddenly wrinkled. and obviously confused.

he doesn't even know me anymore. I pulled out the necklace hidden inside my uniform and showed it to him.

"This, don't you remember it? you gave it to me. you gave it to me on my first birthday. you were four years old at the time. mama said we have a promise. because you said that to my him and to my Dada. don't you remember?" my tears are welling up. but I keep falling.

He was just quiet. so I gasped.

"wait." he said

but I didn't let him finish and I immediately spoke.

"okay, i don't think you even remember. Okay thank you."  I ran at the same time. this is the first time I have been feel embarrassed.

he doesn't even remember me. I immediately went to the bathroom and locked myself in one of the cubicles. I immediately shed my tears.

I'm the only one who sticks to that promise. even though I was only a year old at the time, I remember our promise. I remember all those events. but why his face I do not remember. so this is me, the fool looking for him. I saw him now but he doesn't remember me.

I didn’t realize the time, I didn’t know what time I was here in the bathroom. when Grace suddenly called.

"where are you guppie we have been waiting for you. mama has been here already." I immediately got up from sitting on the toilet and took a shower. I looked at my face and obviously cried. but I just let it go.

I quickly ran to the parking lot to go to where mama's car is always parked when he picks us up. Techno also chatted that my bag is already with mama.

When I came out of the building, I immediately met JM. he would have approached me immediately when I avoided him and ran even faster. it's a good thing he didn't follow me. when I got there I saw mama outside the car, and my siblings inside with Techno.

I immediately took mama's hand and paid him a respect. I just smiled and got in the passenger seat beside to driver's seat.

Mama immediately moved around in the driver's seat and entered as well. the whole trip I was just quiet. looking out the window. I don’t care about the noise and teasing of my siblings.

I looked at mama as he held my hand. it smiled and said "did my guppie have a problem?" he asked softly. I immediately shook my head and smiled sparingly.

"I'm just tired ma, I just want to sleep." I said. mama just nodded.

"if you have a problem, mama is just here you can talk to me nah?" I just nodded. he kissed my hand while his eyes were focused on the road.

we ate at our favorite restaurant and mama bought everything on the menu. I already know his set-up like this. he knew it would make us feel better for anyone who was feeling heavy. and he was right. whatever I was feeling before is gone.

This big bee relieved the sadness I was feeling. especially when the waiter handed us over the bee's toy freebies.

we all came out of that bee’s restaurant with a smile on our lips. it can be said that the bee's chicken has a joy.

And now I am in the bedroom. I also finished changing and was ready to go to sleep when my phone suddenly lit up. I immediately opened it. unregistered number texted. I felt shocked when I read the text.
