I'm For You, You're For Me [LenRisa Story]

Confession

Now that Leni is the Vice President of the Philippines, she became busier than before. The inauguration ceremony will be held in a few days. She asked her assistant if when was her free day, a day that she doesn't have anything do.

She remembers that she had to confess to Risa before the inauguration ceremony. So she quickly called her assistant and asked her politely, "Meron pa ba akong gagawin mamayang hapon?"

"Let me check your schedule po, Ma'am." her assistant replied while opening the iPad that she kept the new VP's schedule in. "It seems like you'll be done by 3:30 p.m. po, Ma'am. Is there anything you'd like me to schedule after that?" her assistant asked.

Leni took this chance to meet up with Risa. "Can you please set an appointment with Sen. Risa? And then clear my schedule na after. Thank you."

Her assistant smiled and nodded and left the office. Leni felt as if she was carrying stones on her shoulders but will be dropped later that day. She was excited to see one of the persons she felt close with.

Risa received the message that Leni's assistant sent. "Good morning, Sen. Risa. VP Leni was asking if she could meet you at 3:30 p.m. today? Thank you, Ma'am." read the message.

Usually Leni would message her using the personal number that she used, so Risa was slightly confused with na confidentiality. But she still looked forward to seeing the Vice President whom she had this liking on. Unfortunately she had a meeting with the other members in the senate until 4:00 o'clock in the afternoon.

"Good morning. I will be available at 4:15 in the afternoon if that is okay with the Vice President?" she replied.

"Yes, Ma'am that will be alright." replied the assistant.

Risa was filled with joy and it began to form a bright smile on her face. She can't help but blush at the fact that she'll see the now VP, Leni Robredo. She also thought that this might be the chance to tell Leni how she felt.

Soon, the meeting was done and Risa quickly entered and started her car. She dropped by a small convenience store where she bought a pack of Chocnuts and a bag of Cheetos Cheese Puffs, Leni's all time favorites. She arrived at the OVP exactly on 4:15 in the afternoon. She was led to the office where Leni often rested after a long day. Risa knocked on the door and entered with a big smile.

"Good afternoon, our new VP!" she was carrying the paper bag in her arms when she came in.

"Sen. Risa, you're here already? Ang aga mo naman ata?" Leni asked confused as though why Risa had arrived earlier than expected.

"Yes, VP. Haha! 'Di naman kasi masyado mahaba yung senate meeting."

"So, I would really love for us to talk somewhere else. Is it okay if we go at a cafè instead?"

"That's not a problem with me, Ma'am VP." Risa responded to Leni.

"Please, just call me Leni just like before. We're friends. No need for the formality after working hours." Leni chuckled.

Risa just smiled and thought to herself "Friends... We are friends." She felt a small sting inside her as she repeated it to herself. They were FRIENDS.

Leni fixed her files and put it inside the drawer of her table then proceeded to fix her bag. Both of them walked out of the OVP. Leni had requested her security not to tag along because she was already riding with Risa. The head of security nodded in agreement and walked away.

They stopped at the cafè near Leni's condo. When they ordered and got their drinks, they started a conversation about how they were since it's already been a week since they last saw each other and just sat down to talk. A few minutes into their conversation, both of them sighed and just became silent for a bit. They then started to talk at the same time,

"Len--" said Risa, "Ris--" said Leni. Both of them stopped and giggled together.

"Sige ikaw muna." Risa said before taking a sip of her coffee.

"Uhmm.. Ris, bago ko sabihin 'to I just want you to know that if ever man na 'di ka agree or 'di same ang feeling mo, I don't want anything to change." Leni said nervously while waiting a response from Risa.

"Sure, ano ba 'yon?" Risa agreed and asked Leni while looking curious into Leni's eyes as if she was trying to read her thoughts.

It took a while for Leni to respond because she was in awestruck by how Risa was looking curiously at her, such beautiful eyes with a beautiful face. She managed to answer after a short while.

"Kasi Ris... I haven't been honest with you."

Risa is now nervous about what Leni might say next.

"Ris, ever since we got closer during the campaign period, I had developed something towards you. I also don't understand it kasi alam mo naman na I married Jess at 22 and had Aika not long after. I think that I'm starting to be attracted to you, I think that I like you." Leni said explaining.

Risa, now shocked at what she was hearing, looked out the glass window and stared blankly.

"Ris? Please say something." Leni requested while looking at her cup of coffee. She can't shake off the anxious feeling of how Risa will react.

Risa looked at Leni with a smile and held her hand. She felt relieved that Leni felt the same way so she decided to come clean as well.

"Leni, this might be a shock to you, pero I can say that yung feeling na sinasabi mo is actually mutual. Alam ko na alam mo that I lost Frank much more earlier than I expected. And I know that Jesse was your greatest love. I'm not saying that I don't want 'us' to develop to a much more intimate relationship, but I feel like you're having second thoughts about it. For now, maybe think about it thoroughly? And then we can talk again? Iniiwasan ko lang na masaktan tayo pareho. Honestly ako kasi I am willing na sumugal sayo. I just hope na sure ka rin na ready ka rin sumugal sa akin. Plus, your girls might not agree because I know how against they are of you dating again." Risa responded and then took the last sip of her coffee then excused herself and then left.

Leni was shocked to learn that Risa felt the same but at the same time happy. She also thought about what Risa had just said that she should think about it because 1, her daughters were really against about her dating again, 2, it was a sudden feeling, and 3, she thought about how other people would react.

Her mind was clouded with thoughts. She didn't finish her coffee and went home. She thought about asking the girls hypothetically about the topic and see how'd they react.
