I Choose You

If life would offer something more for Leni, Risa, and their kids, they would gladly accept it, but they were already contented with what they had.

Despite of the bashing and insults people threw at them, the fake news they've spread, they still stood firmly.

"Leni, I have something for you." Risa said as she took Leni's hand.

"Ano 'yun, Ba?" Leni asked.

Risa took out a small box.

"Buksan mo. I hope you'll like it." Risa said and then handed Leni the box.

Leni opened the box and smiled.

"It's a pendant of half a heart, with Jesse's initials. I also have mine with Frank's initials." Risa explained.

"Thank you, Padaba. Ang ganda nito." Leni replied and both of them hugged each other.

Risa finished her coffee and asked Leni to come with her.

"Saan tayo pupunta, Ris?" Leni asked.

"Basta. Sumama ka nalang, Ga." Risa said.

Risa held Leni's hand tightly and pulled her out of the house.

"Teka lang, Ris!" Leni yelled out.

They stopped and Risa turned to face Leni.

"Why, Pangga?" Risa asked.

"Kinakabahan ako sa ginagawa mo. Ano nanaman ba itong plano mo?" Leni replied.

Risa just smiled and said, "You'll see."

Both of them got into Risa's car and drove off to a place where Leni was so familiar with.

"Ris..." Leni slowly said.

"Isn't this where we had our first date. Where we held each other?" Risa said as she pulled up.

"Why are we here?" Leni asked.

"Tara, pasok tayo. You'll know." Risa replied.

Leni had no idea about what was waiting for them. This was the place where their love story started to form.

Aika, Tricia, Jillian, Yel, Kiko, Issa, Ianna, and Sinta were there and greeted Leni as they entered the venue.

"Ma, put this on po." Aika told Leni as she handed a simple yet elegant white dress.

"Ang ganda naman nito, pero what's the occasion?" Leni asked.

"Mama Leni, please po, just trust us." said Issa.

Leni had no choice but listen to the kids.

After about thirty minutes, everything was set. Jillian handed Leni a bouquet of beautiful orchids and pink roses. All of them fell in line.

"Ano ba 'to?" Leni thought to herself. She began to piece everything together when she saw Risa at the altar with a pastor.

The kids walked down the aisle, soon it was Leni's turn. With Aika beside her and walked her down.

"Ma, alam mo ba, grabe yung effort ni Mama Ris para dito. She wanted everything to be perfect. It might not be legal in our country but she wanted to seal what the both of you have. Even if it means being wed only like this." Aika said as they both walked down the aisle. Aika had also imagined if it were her and Yel, she would've had their wedding like this.

"Pano ba po 'yan, Mama Ris? I'll give Mama's hand to you na po." Aika said to Risa as they reached the altar.

Risa smiled and took Leni's hand.

"This is it, Pangga." Risa said.

The ceremony started and they said their vows.

"Maria Leonor Gerona-Robredo, I give you this ring as a token of my love. A love that will never perish, a love that will protect you and OUR children. As God as our witness, I promise to love you until my very last breath with all my heart. I choose you whom I want to spend eternity with, during this life and the next one."

"Ana Theresia Hontiveros-Baraquel, I give you this ring to symbolize my love. A love that will give you assurance, safety, and peace. I promise to give all my love to you and the children. I promise to stay by your side."

"For richer and for poorer."

"For better, and for worse."

"In sickness and in health."

"Til death do us part." both of them said together.

"By the power invested in me, Maria Leonor Gerona-Robredo and Ana Theresia Hontiveros-Baraquel, I now pronounce you wife and wife. You may now kiss the brides." the pastor said.

Leni and Risa shared a powerful kiss in front of the people that were so close to them.

"I love you, Leni."

"I love you too, Risa."
