Lusiana was already with Abimanyu at one local dinner place to have dinner. It was 7 pm, and they went together in his car. Later on, by the time they finished their food, Abimanyu would drive her home.
"So, how is everything?"
"Regular. Well, how do you cope with grief when you cannot attend your folk's funeral anyway?"
"Do you miss him?"
"Already."
"Yes, even after all that they had done, we still love them."
"They could be a psycho, and we still love them."
"Anyway, how is your house?"
"I haven't figured it yet. My brother should have it, I wouldn't mind. Or we all could sell it."
"Hey, it is a good land and a good house."
"No. The soil is wet, and my house needs a huge renovation."
"But still..."
"What?"
"Don't sell it. Seriously, you should not sell it."
"You're not part of our family. Sorry." Lusiana said coldly. She does not like when private things like her family issues were being asked, literally by anyone who tried to fix it. They will never fix it, and they should have known about it. But Abimanyu still cannot see the red line.
"You know, you could renovate your house."
"I do not have any money. And the grant everyone gave is not enough."
"Then collect money. Okay, so this is how you could do it. First, you have to move out of your place right now and then you could go back to your home. And then..."
Abimanyu was still talking, but Lusiana did not hear him. Or she refused to. Her head was full of emptiness, and Abimanyu suddenly told her to think. All she wanted to do was eat.
"Bima, could you stop?"
"Why?"
"I cannot think anything right now. Let's only eat, and we can go home afterward."
"Oh okay."
Then silence filled the air between them. Waiting for the food, Lusiana opened her phone. Bimasena's chat was still untouched. Perhaps it's a good time to reply to him, so she thought.
"Whose chat you're giggling for?"
"Eh?"
"It must be a chat from a guy, right?"
"Hmm, it is only from Mas Bima."
"Bimasakti from Aulia?"
"No, Bimasena the dating app guy."
"Him again? Isn't he the guy that ghosted you?"
"Yeah."
"Sorry, Lusiana. I keep forgetting that you were playing that stupid app."
"I still use it. It is sure stupid sometimes, but other times it is the most efficient way to meet other people."
"So, what this Bimasena had sent to you?" Abimanyu asked in a petty way.
"He sent condolences. It was very polite, so I think it is not a problem."
"It is a problem! You cannot have a chat with other guys."
"Other?"
"You know what I mean..."
"No, I'm not aware of anything."
